No, it was a collaboration, just like Spider-Man was with Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Bob Kane came up with the name Batman and got the first Batman story published. Bob Kane drew the first prototype version of Batman. And Bob Kane acknowledged Bill Finger's contributions to Batman's creation in his autobiography. The real reason Batman was not credited to Bob Kane and Bill Finger was DC Comics, Bob Kane had already signed away his ownership of the character when DC started publishing Batman comics. It was DC's decision to put "Batman created by Bob Kane" instead of "Batman created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger". DC has since rectified the situation and Batman comics have credited Bob Kane and Bill Finger as co-creators since 2015, almost a decade ago. So blame DC Comics, not Bob Kane. This video is clickbait of the worse kind.

Ditko deserves a lot of credit, but Stan still gave Spider-Man his heart. Ditko tried, since Spidey entered college, to push Peter into a more objectivist direction, which Stan knew would alienate fans who like Peter for being a relatable Everyman. It’s what really soured their creative relationship to the degree it was at the end. And we can’t forget that a lot of what made Spider-Man jump to the top of marvel over fantastic four was when John romita came on and the soap opera elements came into the forefront.

A Bob Kane had the idea of Batman being a crime fighter. Bill Finger went with that idea and made the character more than Kane’s initial concept. Both were influenced by The Shadow character from pulp novels, which may be another reason as to Batman not carrying guns anymore and stopped killing people as the similarities between those two were quite more apparent in the early days.

Let me clear everything up. Accordimg to the feature length documentary, Batman and Bill, Bill Finger came up with the idea with the intention of creating a super hero (if I remember correctly). He came up with a very different design. Bob Kane saw the design, and gave Bill Finger tips on a new design for the character, which wound up being the Batman we all know today. Bill came up with the character and concept, Bob created the coolest super hero costume ever. At least that's what Batman and Bill said
