I have about 6 trays with cracked corners or edges from bootstrap. I LOVE my trays and I completely sympathize with the production costs, etc. Does the manufacturer accept broken trays to use for the recycle process, back in to usable new trays? If so, I would ship them!!

I have a few of those two - only a tiny fraction of the total # of trays I have at this point haha! Yes - just send them pictures of the damaged trays and they typically replace them right away. I'm not sure about sending in for recycling though - you would have to ask them about that!

No they don’t, they are tested and food safe, no harsh chemicals or hormone disrupters. I interviewed the company in a podcast and learned all about this

Bootstrap trays are too expensive at scale. Why is it that you don’t see any of the larger producers using bootstrap trays? These are made for the backyard growers who want to feel legit…like their business has “leveled up”. They invest a small fortune for an item that does nothing to increase profitability.

That's not entirely accurate. We have clients at every scale from a dozen to clients that purchase multiple truckloads. That is in part why we have a special projects team.
