Principles of British law dating back a thousand years are being abandoned as a direct consequence of immigration to the United Kingdom.

Muslim sensibilities are creeping into court judgments. When 86 year old British war veteran Frank Fishwick died after being punched in the face by a 19 year old Syrian refugee when the old man requested him to stop smoking weed in the stairwell of his Preston flats the judge commented in mitigation that the old man had called the Syrian racist names which provoked the punch and reduced his sentence to just four years in a young offender’s institution. British children used to be taught that sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me. That time honoured principle no longer applies in multicultural Britain.

The jury system is there to protect an accused man of being found guilty by a politically biased or otherwise biased or incompetent judge. It also confers legitimacy to the verdict since it is the decision of his peers. It is absolutely essential to a fair justice system.
@sye601
@sye601 10 күн бұрын
The problem is when you don't have a homogenous society you actually allow bias to infiltrate the system. If an 'Asian' grooming gang had a jury which was majority 'Asian' what do you think is likely to happen? Also can we be sure a jury cannot be rigged by the person who sends out the invites (looking at the Edward colston statue case I sometimes wonder).

A number of countries have abandoned jury trials. Generally the argument is that it is to guard against bias. If one looks at the way anyone accused of any crime against Islam is treated in Pakistan, it seems unlikely that anyone would be able to get a fair trial for such offences. And this is the way our country has gone with the police and justice system kow-towing to any group that is willing to take to the streets or use violence to protect themselves against the consequences of the law. The Stephen Lawrence case can be seen as a bellwether for a fundamental change in our society.

It started with the McPherson Report demanding that the idea of double jeopardy be discarded. That went to satisfy the demand for ‘justice’ for Stephen Lawrence after his parents foolishly and against legal advice launched a private prosecution against the suspects that they lost. In order to get the result they wanted a 1000 yr old principle was binned off. The McPherson report wasn’t just an attack on the police. It was a complete undermining of the British way of life, law and heritage People just didn’t see it as that Suddenly the ‘hate’ laws came into being. The police were ‘discouraged’ from stop and search resulting in the knife crime we see today Hate crimes morphed into ‘religious hate crimes’ that started straying into private homes and private conversations. And once one hate law is brought into being another one pops up as one group decide they are more important than another It then spirals. And the police begin to throw procedures out of the window against certain groups (see Tommy Robinson) and other groups act with impunity because they believe they have every right to act in any way they see fit The arrival of alien cultures, alien beliefs and alien heritage in any organisation is met with resentment and in some cases out and out hostility. The only way the host can react is by rejecting the invasive organism and that requires laws to keep the host in line We are at that stage

Great comment. I think 'hate' crimes first came in with the Race Relations Act of 1968. Dreadful then dreadful now. 'Hate' is subjective, we have plenty of objective laws. Macpherson also redefined a racist incident: ‘A racist incident is any incident which is perceived to be racist by the victim or any other person.’ And institutional racism as: 'The collective failure of an organisation to provide an appropriate and professional service to people because of their colour, culture, or ethnic origin. It can be seen or detected in processes, attitudes and behaviour which amount to discrimination through unwitting prejudice, ignorance, thoughtlessness and racist stereotyping which disadvantage minority ethnic people.' Writing in the Telegraph, a year after the publication of the report, Tom Utley commented that Macpherson had “blood on his hands”, because the police did not dare to stop and search for fear of being branded racist. Utley was right, Mapherson was wrong.

Simon, the Steven Lawrence case had nothing to do with the change of the double jeopardy rule. It came about from a case of a young woman murdered by her boyfriend, acquitted at trial, after which further evidence was found. The new law was retrospective, and he was convicted in a second trial. In the 1950's there was a case of a man who was who acquitted of murdering his business partner. He then sold the story to a newspaper of how he killed the man and what it felt like, knowing he could not be tried again, even for a confession. The change in the law brings better justice for victims. What's wrong with a retrial if new evidence emerges. It cannot be argued that it permits the police to present a 'sloppy' case; there was no CPS to get past in Norman times.

In America the glaring proof of why jury systems should be seriously looked into is the OJ Simpson trial, one of the jury (black woman) admitted that they acquitted him because of “payback” for the Rodney King incident and because the victims were white. Even though the whole world knew this, it was still a shock to see the callousness of this woman decades later, it is clear that she would do the same thing again. It’s obvious that the same thing is happening in the UK. One of the jury system’s tenet is based on being judged by a jury of your peers but in a multicultural world a case that involves different ethnicities will almost always end up in acquittals. THAT IS NOT JUSTICE

This one is so troubling that even Simon can’t hide the shock, disbelief, and horror of what he’s reporting on. The realization of how bleak the future is for the natives of the UK. The occupiers in govt posing as representatives of the people. Are clearly taking marching orders and those marching orders are shredding the fabric of those societies. Your opinion on the Double-Jeopardy rule doesn't surprise me in the slightest as you are a knuckle-dragger. You are so mentally deficient to the point where you need to be told that everything evolves, except subhumans like you and your fans. There was a time in history when rapi--g was not a crime; and there was a time when domestic violence wasn't illegal unless it resulted in murder; but intelligent people evolve. Likewise it was realised that the Double-Jeopardy rule was out of date, therefore action was taken to improve on it, rightly so, it now means that if advances in forensic science improve and hard evidence is found then a suspect will face justice. In this modern age the only real injustice is that the likes of you and your fans are protected under British Law and the Human Rights Law, if it was up to me, the likes of you and your fans wouldn't be protected under any law, because you and your fans are less than humans, which is why if someone was to snuff you lot out, the culprit cannot be convicted of murder, because by definition 'Murder' means deliberate and malicious taking of human life, and since you and your fans are subhumans you cannot be murdered. @@HistoryDebunkedsimonwebb
