Its not 1/5 from homo erectus, lol. Thats insane and not based on anything except pure speculation. We dont have samples of homo erectis DNA to even compare to modern Africans. In reality its a much more complicated story. There wasnt a single group of modern humans in Africa, there were dozens of groups of humans seperated by vast distances existing in isolation and eventually coming into contact with each other over time. Non africans are all related to eachother because of a genetic bottle neck event which created a founder effect. Africans on the other hand, while sharing a large portion of their ancestry with those who left the continent, were in contact with lineages that had never left africa. That doesnt mean those lineages were any less developed than neanderthals or denisovans. Homo erectis didnt just live in Africa, they migrated across eurasia as well. Its is doubtful that it was such a divergent branch of humanity that was mixing with modern humans in africa 40k years ago and much more likely that a group more similar to modern humans and neanderthals was the culprit. Its being speculated that it may have been the Jebel Irhoud hominins which are much more similar to modern humans than homo erectus.

Science was always political. It is and always will be. It includes all these dna findings, too. Even the idea we all came from Africa is relatively recent. Anybody remembers we all came from 1 black woman? That was all rage in the west in 70s.

If they have sufficient evidence to arrest you for any offence, or the offence they are investigating is an 'arrestable offence' (an offence for which there is a preserved power of arrest), they will. If they don't, they can't. It really is as simple as that. (See my edit below!) If arrested and interviewed, don't say anything. Be polite, but firm. Get them to show you what evidence they have of any 'alleged offence' and what, specifically, they suspect you of. Obtain legal advice immediately. They can not interview you unless you have at least spoken to a solicitor, either in person or on the phone. I assure you the advice they give you will be 'answer nothing, confirm nothing, admit nothing, volunteer nothing." Your representative may prepare a written statement that will be read into the record of the interview addressing some pertinent points or clarifications that you wish to be heard and have been agreed upon. If charged, go not guilty. (Obviously, if they have you on camera committing the offence, this would probably not be a good idea!) Insist on seeing the prepared file. Let them prove it at trial. Depending on what they're investigating, they have to prove: It's your account You posted it No one else has access to it It hasn't been hacked Your intent When and where it was posted If the post constitutes a criminal offence at all How it is likely to cause offence, incite hatred, or whatever is in the mix. They have to prove EVERY element of the offence beyond a reasonable doubt. In this current climate of public dismay and disillusionment with the Police, do you really think any jury would find you guilty? Edit: I've had PACE code G pointed out to me in the comments.
