Can someobody explain Lex's line "Bitcoin is the demotion of the conscious mind as well"
@jaiv
@jaiv Жыл бұрын
before that bryan talked about how the mind plays such a big role in diet and was criticising that, then mentioned how the current monetary system similarly involves a lot of human decisions and politics. he goes on to say how bitcoin and the building blocks of blockchain take the human choices away within the system and are a better way to form a monetary system. so lex gave that analogy

The problem with our society is that a guy gets lucky with one thing (OK, with a bit of intelligence and work added to the mix) and then we assume they're the saviour of man with answers to all our problems. So we interview them about everything we can think of and take their word as gospel. Look at Clive Sinclair, Elon Musk and now Johnson. As humans we're supposed to learn from our past but we never seem to.

Because 99.9% of humans are stupids, and don't know what to do with their miserable lives so they will listen to everyone that the media will promotes as "GENIUS" and be mentality consequently physically enslaved by this people by doing and agreeing with every bullshit a celebrity/influential/economicaly powerful people say. People are just like any animal in nature that can be domesticated.

Right now more than in recent decades everybody looks up to moneymaking. Not enough people look up to doing great things or becoming great, that is now a bonus, an afterthought. This is why there is so much crap produced.

Let me try that strategy! But what if I end up losing a lot of 100 dollars? What if they listen to it only because they are going to get 100 dollars in the end? Because they already know the business and they have made up their minds! Could that happen?

"PayPal was the only company in payments making money. PayPal had a cost of payment of zero. PayPal's margins on a transaction were 3%." I don't get it. PayPal got zero from a transaction but also 3%?

@@nutech1810 Thanks, but are you sure? Because after relistening and thinking about it, I 've decided that the point is that the PayPal/Braintree customers were, as Bryan said, using checking accounts instead of bank cards to operate within the system... and so it's PayPal/Braintree who had a cost payment of zero - because they, in their turn, didn't have to pay a bank a commission for processing those payments. EDIT: After all, a payment is also a "transaction".

@@wajihbec1087 I have been close with a few millionaire small biz owners. None at this level of hundreds of millions. Anyway they were all children of business owners. My guess is 1. they were raised with a certain mentality 2. They learned business by osmosis just watching and absorbing “game” from their parents 3. They believed they could because their parents did it so they felt like it was meant for them and possible 4. Their parents funded them 5. They know if they try and fail they can always go back to rich millionaire parents so they can take high risk with confidence
