Hi George great video! I am also hoping to apply to BS/MD programs this year! What was your unweighted GPA and SAT score if you don't mind sharing?
@premed_george3 ай бұрын
3.98 and 1450. Good luck to you!

@@premed_george Wow that's very good do you think I have a chance my UW is 3.8 (I am from Canada so we do GPA's a little differently here) and I took the SAT in June and got 1530 on the SAT. But I only got a couple of extracurriculars and I only got track and cross country as sports. I do have 2000 hours of shadowing my local physician and I started a part-time business. I was watching other KZbin videos of people who got into these programs and their applications had lots of ECs. Do you think I should bother applying? Mainly trying to apply to MSU's BS/MD and BS/DO programs.

yea for sure! I think your stats and ecs are great! and did u MSSU’s bs/Md or is it msu?

@@premed_george Tbh I wish I could apply to more BS/MD programs but I'm a Canadian Citizen not an American, and most BS/MD's require you to be a U.S. citizen. However there are about 4 colleges like MSU that make an exception only for Canadian Citizens. I do live in Canada but the MSU campus is about a 1 hour drive from where I live so it would be amazing if I got into MSU. But it is verrrrrry competitive.

Hi! May I know what schools offer good BS/MD programs? I’m an international student and I’ve seen a lot of reviews for each school. Also is it important to take AP classes? Our system of education doesn’t really offer that here in my country ;(
@premed_george2 ай бұрын
yea you can find a good list on college vine and just apply the ones that fit you. i am not sure about the application for international students so you may need to do research on that. sorry if this wasn’t the answer you were looking for

I am not very knowledgeabe about these tests. But there are many resources you can look into. You can use catalogs like libgen to find free textbooks and pdfs for the test. Sorry I hope this helps.

I am a high school senior who will be applying to BSMD programs. Do these colleges care if I took only 3 years of foreigner language instead of 4 years. I am going to be taking AP Biology and AP Chemistry in senior year and don’t want to take Spanish so ai could focus more on science courses. Is that a good idea in your opinion?
@premed_george2 ай бұрын
I do know some ivies like Harvard require the applicant to take 4 years of foreign language, however this shouldn’t be a big problem for bsmd.
@Beck-SteinАй бұрын
Wait. Youre not even in a bs md program are you? Your bio says you’re a premed.
@premed_georgeАй бұрын
Yes I will be doing premed because I think this route suits me the best. As I will be attending an institution closer to home and for a cheaper cost.
