In the last couple of years, we are seeing that emission norms are getting strict day by day, which are making cars really expensive, and other than emission norms safety regulation and higher taxes are also playing a vital role in increasing the prices of vehicles,
But New Bs6 Phase 2 Norms will not only make cars further expensive but also due to this norm almost 17 cars will be discontinued
And this video we will deep dive into this very topic and will try to understand exactly why so many cars are getting discontinued in India

There is one thing that I would like Highlight. If I mainly talk about OBD and PGM, then here we should have mentioned motorcycles, as the significant impact of these two applications will be on motorcycles as cars are already equipped with these and will only receive advanced versions of Specially PGM for better efficiency, but these technologies are now forced upon two-wheelers after new norms which will significantly increase their prices.

7:32 really disappointed by this part It was not just because of poor sales but these 800 cc engines were were only used in one car only For example K10 engine is been used in several cars so upgrading it will have any meaning but upgrading the 800cc engine will not only increase the cost but also might become similar to K10 price Even if Alto 800 and k 10 was on top list of highest selling hatchback combined for lot of months And also because of safety norms like 6 airbags etc which is not viable in small car MS officially said this Pls don't copy the things from articles blogs like autocar and other sites who writes bogus things which is not even true!! @@akb14341 no way, I'm pretty sure the governments are funding those research. After all Alcohols are just hydrocarbons with -OH attached to it The only real thing it does is reduce mileage and it overtime corrodes your cars because burning alcohol produces water + CO2 I don't really see the benefit of us forcefully buying adulterated petrol as they didn't even bother reducing the price and it's actually going up now. They either way produce lesser waste than electrical vehicles whose lithium-ion batteries create a lot more waste and because their performance isn't that good people replace it with lead batteries in series connection connecting like 4-5 lead batteries which is the worst. Lead batteries are recycled by hand even in the modern day. And if you don't realise heavy metal (lead) is toxic to every living organism in the world, global warming just warms the earth effecting some living beings (which can be avoided if you just plant more trees, we found way(s) to mend the ozone back, however it isn't revealed to the public but in the 1970s the ozone layer was pretty much like 60-70% depleted, no way we would have survived like that especially with a growing population then)

Restrictions are ok but government should first strengthen their public transport system so more people start using them which will result in less emissions. I've seen people driving suv to work/office just for the sake of getting acknowledged by the colleagues that he drives this and that. Secondly cyclist passages should also be made wherever feasible by the government like the West so people could feel safe driving cycles on dedicated passages.

Comparing bus to cars is not ideal as well, firstly most city busses are already using cng/lpg. secondly, bus carries equivalent to 10 cars or more (40+ pax). My hometown lucknow itself has just 260 city busses out of which 100+ are electric already. I can assure you, cars are above 2,60,000in number or more than 100x number of busses. Yes, bus pollutes more than one car, but for all the busses to pollute more than all cars, one bus needs to pollute 100x more than 1 car which is simply not true. At worst, even a 20yo diesel bus will pollute only 3-4x as one car when talking about pollution per passenger.

Yes it's a problem because the taxes are not being reduced. The tax on fuel or generally in cars is not being reduced despite it becoming more efficient and as a result being more costly. Keeping cars in luxury in items and taxing 28 percent is pure bull shit by the govt.

@@shresthsonkar9207 saans to shayad industries or public transport ke pollution se bhi rukte hain par bichare alto vale ko sooli pe chdhane ki tyaari hai. Also mileage claim test conditions ko dekhke hoti hai to actual mein difference to aega hi. Current mass market bs6 diesels and petrol cars don't have that much negative effect.

There will be several problems as most dealerships do not have diagnostic trained engineers who need electrical and wiring expertise as most new modern vehicles will need such speciality

After using 2008 Alto till date i feel like newer alto's are disgrace to its heritage and they are getting well deserved retirement Would love to see alto's legacy continue but the newer norms and budget cuts are makeing it worse day by day

Great video. . . Quick question because I don't know. . . . is the fleet emissions calculated on the fleet offered or the composition of the fleet sold. . . As one can have one car smoking out coal fumes and three cars spotless and clean in their line up. . . .. but 99℅ of the sales are of the if the coal burner. . . . meets the target but not the needs of the environment
