Thanks to Dr Ambedkar, Buddhism returned back in India, now Buddhism is a thriving community in India

So true. And we should also be indebted to the great Sri Lankan Monk Anagarika Dharmapala who contributed a lot to the rediscovery and renovation of several prominent Buddhist sites and also for his lifelong struggles to get back the Mahabodhi temple.

Ambedkar did not plant ONE sampradaya of Buddhism back in India. SN Goenka did. Goenka is the real reviver, Ambedkar is a political figure. Meanwhile Buddhism is apolitical! Should tell you what kind of Buddhism “navayana” is.

Yeah Muslim destroyed Buddhist statues in Pakistan or it was Afghanistan several yrs ago. And Islam also enslaved Africans for 14 centuries & in some Muslim Countries they still enslaved Africans.

"Yeah Muslim destroyed Buddhist statues in Pakistan or it was Afghanistan several yrs ago" thats because of heresy upon them and "Everyone's God-given human dignity must be respected, regardless of his or her faith, race, ethnic origin, gender, or social status (ref. Qur'an, 17:70)"

@@user-so-v9o The main reason the Taliban according to them destroyed Buddha statues is beacause a monk claimed Buddha is Allah and according to the Quran we must destroy any idols that resembles Allah

Sri Lanka s total attempts of hundreads of years to preserve buddhism in maldives become useless after 1000 AD.😢.. When all other buddhist countries had a seperate temple architecture , 🇱🇰 Sri lanka had the most simple architecture and stupa styles. Typically cant see in any other country.but maldives has ruins of stupas of exact sri lankan style.

It's not about temples, it's about us, Sri Lankans, we stopped spreading the dharma. that's why we lost Indonesia, Malaysia and the Maldives. What a tragic faith...
