0:38 Ayo that's me! Some additional notes: -In the sequel, Poly Bridge 3, they tried to remove dangling roads by reducing their tensile strength. This didn't affect banana bridges, however, and people also figured out a different way to make dangling roads anyways -Almost everyone mentioned in this video is still active in the game and in the discord -Every glitch shown in this video requires roads to break, so the Unbreaking leaderboard is a lot more normal. There are a few rare levels that do have glitches, and more than a few that have dangling roads, but most are indeed just solid bridges -A lot of designs shown in this video are also speedrun strategies: --The torque cannon shown at 5:23 (level 1-01), as there is an easy on-grid solution! --The swing shown at 7:25 (level 2-09) is almost identical :> --The torque cannon shown at 7:34 (level 1-06) is what we use as well --The flip cannon at 7:45 (level 6-03), although getting it on-grid required a few seemingly random pieces, to jiggle it just right --The stuck falling road at 12:06 (level 5-01) is similar to the speedrun, although the speedrun gets significantly less cool factor

Neat video! One detail that I think may be missed by the average viewer is the point system being shown here to score players overall is a competitive scoring system. That means it is not directly dependent on how low your budget is but how well you rank in relationship to other players. This is why we see player's trend lines move upwards despite them achieving lower and lower budgets or changing their bridges at all. You can see this in the graph when one player's score goes down significantly, the other players scores go up because their scores are impacted by person that passed them.

this video definitely has that "first video" feel to it, you can tell that Y2J hasn't made any yt videos before this and is throwing stuff on the wall to see what sticks, i do like what he did with the "hall of the mountain king" parts, in which the first part seemed like a continuation of the annoying thing that he did where he'd assume what the audience is saying along with the equally cliffhanger at the end which feels very rushed. good video 6.5/10 kept me engaged throughout the whole thing, interesting topic, the script could be more polished (ex:explaining the techniques) along with better jokes (or less jokes depending on whether Y2J wants to be more casual/goofy or more serious and dry). at the end of the day, for a first video, this was absolutely amazing, remember to only make content YOU want, even if others complain (which isn't the same as constructive criticism) because people love to complain.

~ 2:00 The strength of any given material is usually calculated by a few things. One, how easily can it bend? Two, how much can it bend without sustaining permanent damage? And three, if it can shatter, how much permanent damage can it sustain before shattering? The roads might be hard to bend, but their attachment points aren't. If the roads were tied tightly between both sides of the bridge, the roads themselves would have had to hold up all the weight of the vehicle. However, because the roads can move freely to some extent, like a rope bridge, much of the force that would break the roads instead moves the roads. You can see this as the bridge bending instead of breaking. At least, that's what I got from it.

If score is relative then the actual budget doesn't matter so it's very hard to realize the progress being made. The ranks could remain the same with only being around 50% of budget or 150% of the budget. Do they not think it's strange? "The road jiggle" looks about as mad as my "understrung" bridges of Bridge Constructor 3D. There's a little bit more to an understrung bridge -- a cable and some very short supports, but it's insanely cheap, it jiggles and it somehow survives crazy loads too. Ah, the banana bridge is closer, though in BC3D my roads could be flat (until driven over). I didn't realise PB2 needed some extra angles or I would have been making them all along. 4:23 reminds me of a BC3D level where I won a level because the burnt and shattered remains of the fuel tanker were launched into the air by their own explosion and landed on the flag! :D In BC3D, you always have to have all vehicles reach the one flag. In the fuel tanker's case, that's the tractor and semitrailer. They both landed in the right place after separating in the explosion. I didn't know about the leaderboards; I guess you don't see them on mobile? Anyway, having worked so hard to make unbreaking bridges, I'm a leetle bit miffed by things which rely on parts breaking. But only a leetle bit. That second Mountain King montage was awesome! :D

But seeing vehicles launched into the air by falling debris/bridges, rubber banded into the sky with improvised 'cannons', hurled like a fucking frisbee, go through wobbly bridges that defy physics is the last thing I expect to happen from this casual game - and seeing how players exploit this is nothing short of amazing. I don't know how you got on my recommended, but I am glad you appeared. Looking to more similar content takes on how players 'break' games as casual as PolyBridge.
