Totally depends on the ETF, when dealing with an ETF with a lot of NAV Errosion I tend to stay away, ULTY as an example, but for ETF’s with a little NAV loss I focus on reinvesting and buying at the best prices I can to minimize the losses from NAV errosion, hopefully that helps🙂

Are your investing in your TFSA so the taxe déduction ? How are you managing the FX to minimize the drag on your returns ? One CAD lump sums at the time into the USD account, then let the dividends in and if you pull out? Repay FX only on the withdrawals amount ? If I’m right we cannot deducts interest from margin when in TFSA ? I restrain myself from investing into USD for now… maybe I should start soon because more full income ETF on the US side vs only 25-50% options coverage in the Canadians US ETF

My account balance is about $50,000CAD or $35,000 USD, I earn about $1,000 USD per month. But so many factors play into that like what I invest in, YOC, NAV erosion of assets etc.
