Personally, I think Angel is going to move into the point forward position lile she originally was in college. This is something her and t spoon talked about at the beginning of the season. This is also why she is one of the main distributors on the team. This is probably why she is working with banham, Jefferson, e.will. in the offseason before going into unrivaled and working out with Collier. Jefferson will help out with her passing, e will will help out with shoot blocking and close to the basket layups that she can practice on her, Bannon will help out with her. Three-point. And collier is most likely just all around game and to enhance her defense. They are in need of a point still especially one that can shoot. I really want them to pick up pao pao. Her already working with Mila and also playing against Reese she would already know how to instinctively play with them.

(get height for taller center….get Li yueru if can’t get Amanda but won’t be easy) 11. Kysre Gondrezick/dana evans/Rachel b. (3pt and D hopefully also 3 level scorer as time goes on) 12. Nika Muhl (via trade if not then diamond deshields…use players not listed to get 6’0 defensive guard-forward if neither DD or nika is available) Sn: the sky can pick up aneesah morrow paopao in 2025 with their two first round picks and if allen retires or moves on for more money/better opportunities in 2026 the sky can pick up raven johnson or kiki rice by combining their two first round 2026 picks..if allen stays we still will have draft capital to pick up whoever in 2026 to fill in whatever holes the team needs…the sky are in a really good position as a team going forward

Aneesah Marrow is not a true point guard. She is a shooting guard. The Sky needs a point guard. I think Olivia Miles would be the ideal player.

@@soccergoal4090 Yeah Morrow is a Wing who plays the 4 in College so I don't think she's a great fit , especially given her struggles from 3pt range. She can rebound great though so she'd be better on another team where they need that. I feel the Sky need Amoore/Azzi Fudd honestly, Paopao and Miles are also good choices.

wnba play positionless basketball and teamball...you don't need a true PG to be successful in the wnba or they don't have to the point guard at the 1... chenn. kamilla and angel showed they know how to playmake they can handle playmaking duties...also allen is a good glue point guard....i have paopao to help with playmaking...the team doesn't need a starting pg...especially the starting the lineup... they in fact still need allen's veteran presence with the starting lineup....also i pointed when it comes to getting a true pg we can fill that final hole with raven johnson in 2026

also aneesah knows how to play off angel so it wouldn't be a worry, same with paopao and kamilla...and chenn and michaela and allen know how to play with angel and kamilla....olivia is good but we don't need her we need two 6'0 wing defenders....michaela is one but aneesah will be the second for us...

also i still made sure that chicago gets a dual guard with te-hina paopao who has chemistry with kamilla..the only person who needs a pg on the sky is Kamilla and was more of a chemistry thing then a PG thing (there were member of the bench that simply wouldn't even try to work with kamilla)...get morrow and paopao

I do hope next year the Sky is going be much better with Kamilla, Angel, and chennedy (if she returns) as the core of this team and they just need a guard that is a good shooter.

I'll be interested to see if the Sky can ever be a championship contending team without Angel or Kamilla getting very efficient from outside the paint. If you look at the top teams, the Liberty and Lynx have 5 players that can stretch out. The Sun only really three, but they're elite defensively, and outside shooting has maybe been the thing holding them back from a championship. And then at Vegas, neither A'ja and or Kiah shoot a lot outside, but A'ja is so elite at the nail, I think that's what makes them work along with bringing Clark in at the 4. I think it might be best if the Sky trade E Williams because she's a great low post player, but they can't afford to have 3 non-shooters on the roster and could trade her for a stretch big. But it'll be interesting to see what Angel does in the off season. She's going to be a big problem if she adds even an average mid range and ups her paint finishing.

Well, it seems like your list is what we already had in the beginning minus Mabry. However, I am not new to the Sky, but I thought they were looking toward the draft to get player or players in the first round to help. Their bench play was very lacking toward the end. It especially showed once most of the starters went down with injuries. But Carter is a hooper lover her. Of course, the twin towers Cardoso and Reese. But Allen and Onyenwere I don't know.

I like Kamilla and clearly you like her trajectory more than Reese which is fine but similar to Angel she needs to work on her finishing, footwork and defense. Too many times she looks big, clunky and goofy out there and she needs to learn how to really sit in the chair.

What do you mean Chennedy doesn't shoot? She's doesn't shoot a lot of threes but she does shoot. She can definitely run the point and she can work on her 3pt shooting in the off-season. I'm surprised she only made 9 threes all season. Her clutch three against the Aces was one of the best shots this season. If she can average attempting 6 threes a game that would help the Sky a lot. Sky has a good chance of getting Satou because Angel will be trying to woo her. Angel will be playing like a stretch 4 next season.

There’s a reason why Angel and this Sky team overachieved. I hope they keep Carter. I really do. Michaela looks like she found a home in Chicago. Elizabeth Williams staying is something positive. Harrison was in a grove near the end of the season. They have to let go of Dana, Briana, Moriah, Rachel and Diamond for sure. T-Spoon must take another step in the coaching department in year 2. Draft: Olivia, Morrow or Pao-Pao (If they get Morrow.) Sky should be fighting for a playoff spot if things fall in line.

There are no free agent PG that will make them much better. In fact there aren't many great playmaking PG in the league. This draft actually has a few very good PG so they should take one.

I’m thinking Georgia Amoore for their fist pick. She is a PG with pesky defensive skills and a very good passer who can shoot the 3 well. Her crossover is lights out. Miles may be the better passer but she’s not the shooter. Citron isn’t a PG and I don’t think they should gamble on making her one. For their 2nd first round pick I’m thinking Rivers or Johnson. All those you mentioned as possible pickups on the wing make sense. I don’t see Mitchell though. How would they play her? She’s strictly a shooting guard and Carter would have that nailed down. If Mitchell left, L.A I think would be the perfect place. Can you imagine a starting lineup of Mitchell, Paige (possibly) Jackson, Brink and Hamby? Good analysis.

Oh I’d agree. Second-best guard in the class. For her & Chicago, I’d like to see her in a situation that gives her more space to operate and play up-tempo (maybe the new expansion team!). In Chicago, they already have a bunch of non-3pt shooters, but she would help them from a playmaking standpoint

Not a bad comparison, I haven’t thought of that. The thing with that Detroit team is they led the league in PTS & Tweety was an awesome shooter (42% on 3+ attempts), same with Holland-Corn off the bench. In an ideal world for Chicago to contend in the future, you’d have to repeat that strategy by adding a bunch of shooters, but also idk how I feel about a team-building strategy inspired by a team from 2 decades ago. I think if they want to build a Championship team they need to let Carter go. She has too many issues with players and a bad reputation with teams. Players want to come play with Reese but Carter might be a roadblock if she stays, and I think the GM knows this.

Good question: In a perfect world like I was doing with this ‘Dream Offseason’ section, I’d prefer another player over Miles. I’m generally best player available over fit, but when you’re 3 long-term pieces are all bad 3-point shooters, I don’t think you can add another one & expect that go well. I’m higher on Paopao than Fudd, but a shooter like that could really help

From a basketball perspective, it doesn't make sense to play Reese and Cardoso together. You have to ask who is the superior player in the post? You also have to ask what is easier to correct, Reese's shot or Cardoso's footwork? Personally, Cardoso should be your No.1 option in the post because of her size, her hands and her ability to finish around the rim. Reese is outstanding rebounding the ball and is a really good passr but her shooting mechanics are awful and that really hurts the flow of the offense. A smart move would be to seek a trade for Reese unless you want her to come off the bench, which I doubt they would do. Trade her and get a perimeter shooter that can spread the floor to open up the lane for Kamilla. Also, get a draft pick in the deal as well.

I disagree. Kamilla and Angel are fine. They both need to improve their post moves. The Skye needs a Point Guard in the worst way to start moving in the right direction.

They both take up space. Cardoso is more talented offensively. Reese hurts their offense because she can't shoot . Cardoso needs to play a high/low game with someone that can pass and stretch the floor like Rickea Jackson. Reese needs to play with a scorer that demands a double team where she can clean up the rebounds Brittney Griner and Aja Wilson would be ideal teammates for her You CANNOT run your offense thru a player that struggles to make layups.

You got to look at the coach. T-spoon was a defensive specialist when she played. So team is going to be built in her image. So they are keep both players and both players will improve their shooting. The game is not all about logo three's . Their biggest need is to get a point guard who buy in to getting getting the bigs involved and shoot threes to open up the paint.
