You could view it the other way too. That they put him in a position where he could defend his son. Nobody told Chris what words to say. That part was entirely on him, though I believe you missed the part where Chris was using examples of credibility with his own titles to defend the credibility of his sons IBO title. At least that's what I took from Chris's answer when pushed to answer "So you're in agreement that Chris is a charlatan". I would be of the opinion that calling Chris jnr a charlatan is unfair, harsh and not just disrespectful to him but also to those he's fought and beat, and fought and lost to.

The IBO is actually quite transparant in its dealings, but yes, they allow too much time for mandatories to be fulfilled. Also, the main three (WBC, WBA, IBF) have hardly covered themselves in glory over the years, especially the WBC, who for some reason are considered the #1 despite only existing because the late Graciano Rocchigiani agreed a payment plan to him from the WBC otherwise they would have been wiped out of existance...on the plus side, they do have the best looking belt

It was trashed for years in its infancy because no big stars wanted to fight under its banner. It made world champions of fighters who probably wouldn't have won any of the other 3 organisation belts at that time. Had it not been for the WBO I doubt whether Eubank Sr would have become a world champion at all.

@@tg007ful assuming you mean the WBO? The WBO wasn’t considered a major title up until 2005. Oh wow I do remember, that German boxer who won a 30 million lawsuit but settled for lees 🥹. All of them are pretty awful, the WBA with 100 belts. WBC for example haven’t called a super middleweight mandatory in 3 years. I wonder how much the WBC are worth now?

Jr doesn’t get the respect he deserves. He is his father’s son, you’ve got to live under his shadow. Decides to go into boxing, doesn’t have too, could do anything he wants too. I think people are missing the point. Sr is not saying his son is a charleton. By using Michael Watson as a comparison, he's saying it's ok to lose. Think you have gone a bit too far with this question Mr. White, first for asking Eubank Snr if he thinks his son is a charlatan and the second for replaying the recording of what Simon said and making it very awkward which kind of dropped Simon right in it, Eubank responded well considering the circumstances and could have got angry with Simon, it was great to watch earlier on during the stream but looking back not good from Jim or Talksport, Jim coming across as the snide journalist looking to cause trouble

As a fighter who was training and grew up watching fighters like nigel benn, Chris eubank sr and many other greats. It is sad for myself to see chris eubank sr being interviewed. After that bizarre one he did with some other guy he is not in the right state of mind. Didn't he have some court case to do with Sebastians son or something very recently? Plus being on the influence of drugs is not the way especially what he claims to be the warriors code and things. He is not in the right place. He wasn't in it when the conor benn fight was being built and he still has not recovered now based on this interview.
