Disease is "dis-ease" - if you are harboring resentment or bitterness over someone or something - forgive and forget - holding that inside for many years can literally make you sick. if that person can't forgive you, forgive them anyway and don't look back.

After we confess to God our sins, I believe it's important to forgive ourselves. Too much shame and guilt can drown us otherwise.

Sometimes that is so difficult to do. But the Bible says that Jesus can't forgive us if our sins if we can't forgive ourselves or others of their sins . I am finally beginning to truly forgive myself for my past sins.

I am struggling with the issue of forgiving my narcissistic former wife and others for their betrayal against me. I’ve made progress on the road towards forgiveness. But I’m not there yet. But I know that I need to and must forgive them for their actions and betrayal. And that is because God, through Jesus has forgiven me. And so I must forgive them.

You aren’t alone. Forgiveness can be a struggle. Just keep praying. Keep telling God about whatever it is. Tell Him you want Him to dig around all the places of your heart, no place is hidden from Him and you want Him to be sure there is no hate or unforgiveness to be found within you. Everyone has struggles but we just have to give it to God and trust Him to take it and to allow you to be softened in that spot

I am so guilty of asking God for His forgiveness for the same sins over and over. I find myself committing the same sins that I just asked Him forgiveness for. It makes me feel so heartbroken to know that I am grieving the Holy Spirit. Please pray for me to recognize my sins and to intentionally make the changes I know my Heavenly Father expects me to do. God bless everyone 🕊️😇

To Christians forgiveness is not a choice, it's a command because if we do not forgiveness others, our Father in heaven will not forgive us. Matt 6:14-15 says, "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." Unforgiveness is actually a burden that never stops growing and it is the cause for may people's sicknesses in this world. To be someone is accepts to forgive others, is to be someone who is wise and has accepted is live a peaceful life on earth.

Thank God for his forgiveness. But I can’t reconcile other scriptures and the people who are footnotes. Psalm 91 says God will protect us. And God says forgive and turn the other cheek as vengeance is Gods. But God didn’t protect Uriah’s life and his family from harm and loss, then his vengeance was to make David a great king because he said God I sinned. So Uriah’s family is an example of millions of people whom suffer harm by evil people, and those that cause the harm get blessed and just too bad for those harmed. It appears God chooses whom he blesses and whom he curses. Of course that is his right as the creator. So I ponder and pray.

Dr. Jeremiah, I understand how very busy you are, but, if you ever have time please answer this question for me. I need to understand John 3, 14&15, John 4, 20& 21. To me it says, to love ALL Christian’s brothers and sisters, but not necessarily all people. I have a big problem loving murderers, pedophiles, Muslims. If they ask God for forgiveness, then yes, but not when they continue the same way. I PLEASE NEED AN ANSWER!

Great sermon but careless on his part with words . Yes you should ask God for forgiveness and others . But yourself as well . Anything else is dogma and making shame and self hatred a virtue .
