How can I Fix the Red chrome colure of my cycling shoes?

The very first ride that I did, I had this failure on my new Bontrager cycling shoes.
This red chrome color was destroyed in parts, so I am trying to fix it without success.
Can you please give me some ideas on how to fix the problem?

Go to a radio control model shop They have heat stretch adhesive films that might work out.
