How Can I See More Miracles: Practical steps for being used by God
Miraculous works of the Spirit are performed sovereignly by the Holy Spirit according to 1 Corinthians 12:11. However, it seems that some in the church are used more in manifesting these supernatural gifts. Is it possible that there is a reason some are used more than others when walking in the gifts of the Spirit? Does the Bible instruct us in ways we can be used in greater measures to display God's power? I think so. In this episode, Michael and I will be discussing Practical steps for being used by God in supernatural ways.

I’d love to hear more about what fasting looks like for y’all. At my church it either doesn’t seem prevalent, or people just try to keep it between them and the Lord. I think the body could really benefit from some practical tips in this area!

That’s very true. I personally don’t seem to get much from fasting.

I find fasting to be most helpful for simply spending more time with God, even if I don't get anything out of the ordinary, at least I got more time. Though it's wise to choose a day that you don't have to work, regardless of whether the work is physically or mentally demanding. Also I found myself losing too much weight when I attempted fasting too frequently, so be gentle on yourself as well.

Thank you both for sharing about those precious seasons of closeness with the Lord where you saw much happen. How encouraging this is to hear! I confess I have gradually become spiritually lazy, and somehow begun believing the lie that nothing much was happening in this season, that I should just grit my teeth and push on through various chronic issues of suffering expecting nothing much of God, that nothing I did made any difference anyway, and that for some unknown reason this was just some ordained wilderness...that might never end until I die. It's not a very good place to be - and I used to be so passionate and expectant! Thank you for pointing back to somewhere more full of faith and hope.

@@alivewithchrist777 Just to encourage you, I have seen big improvement in this area. I have a new hope and fire, even though the actual circumstances (relating to my ears amongst other things) have seemingly got worse! How are you? If you don't mind me asking, what's your name? I like to pray using a first name for some reason. Mine is Robert.

I’m still struggling, but not the kind of pain or struggle it has been in the past, just I have no zeal anymore, I’m always taking care of my kids they are amazing but It’s hard to pray and spend time alone with God.I feel like I was so close to Him & would spend so much time in prayer, had a heart only for God, now I am just struggling what is going on with your ears? I’ll pray about that if you would like.

Love your show and appreciate your approach. Seems you could use some boldness on this topic. Among many scriptures: Mark 16:18 they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” John 14:12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. Matthew 10:8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay.

Fasting and prayer is a conduit of intimacy with Christ. The more we go after our intimacy with Christ it allows for more power on the inside to see power on the outside.

Q: What is 2nd blessing theology in your words. I always associated it with the holiness movement, which claimed complete freedom from sin. How does that work? Christ saves us , rescues us , frees us from the power of sin, but we are still sinners until He returns.

That was a question I’ve had about sinning in dreams. Every once in a while I’ll have a dream where I make a decision that I never would if I were awake, and I’m unsure at if I’m sinning or if that’s in innocence? I’m not doing anything in the day that I’m recreating at night. It’s just like every once on a while my sleep self rebels against reason and my heart’s desire.

This is quite interesting, at about 28 min fasting is mentioned. In my opinion there are levels of demonic beings, some are much stronger than others and requires a higher level of spiritual warfare to overcome them. Mark 9:28-29 NKJV [28] And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, "Why could we not cast it out?" [29] So He said to them, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting." In the following scripture it mentioned 4 levels of demon power, principalities powers rulers and spiritual hosts of wickedness. Ephesians 6:12 NKJV [12] For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

At about 20 min the question arises about a Christian’s right to miracles. The scripture gives certain promises. If you are meeting the conditions as a man of God you have the right to claim them. The thing is that God has given the gift but it is up to the individual to stand on the word and take the promise. Here is an example. God gave Israel the promised land but they still had to fight for it. Joshua 1:3 NLT [3] I promise you what I promised Moses: 'Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you-

Two questions. Why pray if God is going to do whatever it is that he is going to do with or without you and question two what happens when you pray for these people who have these medical bracelets and nothing happens or they get worse what do you do? I’ve heard a bunch of different answers to this question. Everything from that someone didn’t have enough faith to God is sovereign and these just sound like copouts. Don’t get me wrong theologically I agree with continuations, but in reality, I see no proof of the continuation. Please Help.

Your absolutely on mark! Paul put Timothy in remembrance of the goal of their instruction. Their aim was love from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith. God looks on heart, man looks on the outside. Another place states that the salvation of our soul, or mind, IS the end of our faith. God wants our hearts.

Mark 11:22-24 NLT [22] Then Jesus said to the disciples, "Have faith in God. [23] I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, 'May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. [24] I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours. 1 Peter 2:24 NLT [24] He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. By being born again, filled with the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues a Christian is already in the supernatural realm. In my opinion the very first thing in learning about the authority of a Christian is the ability to cast sickness out of your own body. For example get rid of a cold before it catches hold of you. You must be able to practice supernatural power before you teach it.

You guys keep calling them gifts, they are not gifts the way you described them the word gift is in italics meanig it was added. The only thing that is called a gift is healing meaning that the healing is the gift when someone is heealed it is the gift of healing these are called manifestations the Holy Spirit manifesting Himself through these things that you call gifts

Sorry, but your "word of knowledge" sounds very much like what a medium would say. Secondly badgering God in prayer to show you a miracle or something supernatural just to validate your belief sounds like the opposite of faith. One of you prayed at every prayer for God to give him a miracle and then one day when somebody prayed for him and touched him, something inside of him burst into tears and he cried like that for a long time without being able to stop. That could very well have been the Holy Spirit asking you to stop badgering Him for a miracle. When He feels oppressed or cornered or badgered, the Holy Spirit will cry and will make you feel like it is not really you crying, but that you cannot stop yourself. God gives miracles and responds when things are not a thing in itself and when He is not constantly badgered for a miracle. He is in charge in the miracle department, not people.
