Inhale slowly, say astaghfirullah, make sure your thinking "I seek forgiveness of Allah", then exhale your breathe and then say "wa atubu ilay" and think "and to You I return in repentance and regret". Every time you think of something besides your istaghfar, imagine the thought disappearing into blackness and slowly breath and go back to istighfar. This will train your mind to be in control. I had issues with this technique because there is no hadith confirming it but it is definitely haram to commit this sin. It helps soo much subhanallah Listen to "Sufficient Answer" by Qalam podcast. The episodes are free. It is about a Muslim asking Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim about his homosexual sins and how he can stop. The imam writes an entire book on how. The book is called Jawab Al-Kafi (Sufficient Answer) or The Disease and the Cure. It was written several hundreds of years ago. Remember that you will always be an addict no matter how long your clean and that shaythan will give up one day because you keep turning back to Allah. Trust me. Its a war of attrition. Eventually you won't crave anymore but must be vigilante of the small things that will lead you back. Fight the long fight no matter how many times you fail because your hereafter is in the balance.

Masha Allah beautiful answer. For me it was going to masjid almost everyday and making friends there Alhamdulillah. Sheikh and many people have advised the same thing: Don't be alone and always fill your time with something beneficial. Take up free online Islamic courses. That itself insha Allah will fill your time and you benefit as well. Find a Quran teacher in the masjid, anything related to Islam. And stop watching REGULAR movies coz that will lead you to having sinful thoughts. Even the regular TV shows nowadays have many sexual elements. As sheikh says: Cut the cause altogether. May Allah guide us and make us steadfast.

I cannot tolerate hearing jargon from ignorant people when they talk about marriage, lust and sexual activities and use prophetic traditions to spread misguided principles. It makes me angry when I see people use sharia and Islam to fulfill their own carnal desires. For several years, I have been teaching Islamic Jurisprudence in Islamic establishments in NY, including in Darul Quran WasSunnah and I have been leading tarawih salaah since the age of thirteen, and now am an Imam at Hedaya Masjid. Unfortunately, Jahili and ignorant ones dare to tell me that I am speaking against Quran and Sunna, when I try to educate them about the true purpose of life. I believe I am more qualified to discuss this topic than most people who are posting here. Marriage and sex are never the objective of life for Muslims. Loving Allah is what matters. Loving God, loving humanity is what matters. Some people marry and then get heart broken. Many people stay single and are in love with their Creator. Allah is their everlasting friend. Even if someone finds marriage to be necessary, he or she should not convince everyone to marry just because we think it is right. Mariam the daughter of Imran was single. Asiya has the worst husband in the world which was close to not having a husband. Yet Allah loved them the most. Indulgence in any sort of excessive pleasures is counterproductive for human beings. Believers were not sent to this world for enjoying luxuries. We were created to worship and obey Allah and His Messenger. Our Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) lived by this principle, and even though he could have become very wealthy by doing a lot of business, he chose to remain in poverty until his death. Due to our own indulgence, and following the practice of the non-Muslims and getting obsessed with sexual activities, there are thousands of Saudi Arabian youths, Kuwait youngsters, Qatari men and women, elderly entrepreneurs from Oman and Bahrain, and even scientists from Indonesia and Malaysia, Africa and India, are now being most severely tortured in CIA’s Bush-era interrogation programs, that are until today, operating in secrecy in many European countries. People are leaving Islam in hordes because they are disgusted by our obsession with sex. Did you ever see a Christian priest or a Jewish rabbi uploads such shameless video? Who do you think Allah will allow into paradise? Muslims are being warned by Allah to be sensible. In addition to the Guantanamo Naval Base in Cuba, there are black sites located in Afghanistan, Lithuania, Romania, Poland, Thailand, Bulgaria, Norway and even in Canada, where hundreds of innocent men, women and Moslem children are taken and electrocuted and sexually assaulted by American, British and European guards. This is happening because too many Moslems are now obsessed with intercourse and carnal enjoyment, and are constantly online searching for ways to enjoy conjugal life. All those men who were captured by non-Muslim blacksite torturers admitted that they experienced with different sex styles with their halal wives, and in those interrogation chambers, they were forced to sexually assault their own daughter, so fear Allah, and do not become like animals! If we do not become pure, then Muslim girls and daughters will be assaulted by the enemies. They force parents to have sexual relations with children and record it! And one man I spoke with said he would often do horrifying style sex with his wife, and in the black site, the father was forced have sexual relations with his eleven and seven year old son! That man no longer used hadith to justify it and never again repeated this sickness! Some French black site guards also made the Muslims sons sexually assault their mothers! Those people all once used hadith and quran to justify having sick sex with their Islamic spouses.

You are right that muslims have become astray from the path of sunnat and allah and have become obsessed with $ex and physical relations,money,marraige,power,etc. But you said that people who have physical relations with their wives are being punished because they h@d $ex with their wives is somewhat extreme because allah has made it halal.

Be a strong Muslim man, and you will be successful! The problem is that all Muslims are weak these days, and they are unable to control their carnal desires, and this is the reason why they are being framed as abusers and criminals, and this is why Muslim women are being manipulated into baring their bodies and are accused of being terror slaves, and no one is being able to follow Islam properly. Porn is far more addicting than the most addictive drugs. Sheikh explained it in the most simple yet the most effective way to quit. Though i would add to his point that seeing what is haram on computer has more privacy than on phones since you can position your computer where it is seen. Phone you can easily lock your bedroom door and you can take it anywhere with you, such as bedroom, washroom, any other rooms that have locks and no one can see you, making you more inclined to see filth than on computer.

it is the persons intention. Make sure that the intention in all your actions is to please Allah, and strive against your nafs on a daily basis. If the intention is correct then it will weaken the desires. And remember Allah often by doing the acts of worship like dhikr, making the salah on time fasting, making dua etc. For the men praying in the masjid. All of this increases the believer in iman. But all of the actions must be made with the intention to do what is pleasing to Allah. I hope this is beneficial to whoever sees it.

The best way to deal with these kinds of sinning cycle is to make habits by doings these: 1. Replace with other habit e.g if your are a single and feel lust do 10 puch ups 2.Make it difficult for you e.g if you are watching somthing on phone at specific time they put your phone away form you on that time 3. make it ugly e.g tell your self the negative affects of things you will face in coming days due to this bad activity 4. i know it sound dramatic but you have to start crying in front of Allah after every salah. May Allah forgive us and grant us the strength to fight these harmful thoughts and actions. Ameen.

One of the way stop sinning the sins that you are on the cyle of sinning and repenting is Dont do that sin when shaitaan says "do it in this time and ask allah's forgiveness later and stop it permenently". Allah is most forgiving but dont do any sin with the thought of "Allah is most forgiving and Allah will forgive".

You want it to stop? The sinning? The reason you are commiting is because of lack of fear of Allah. And why is that? Because you have denied the day of repayment by denying the ayats of Allah. Denying day of repayment means adding something or subtracting something from your set of believes about Day of repayment as well as intensity or having yaqeen on those believes. For example: Saying Allah is merciful or He can forgive me if He wants but the question is will He? There's a difference between what He can and what He will. Do you think you are superior to others that if you live behaving in a certain way from which you deserve 🔥 and Allah gonna be unjust just for you? Haven't you read Surah Infitar? or you just listen to some "Islamic" misleading content and just believe all of that while ignoring Quran? As for saying He is merciful, what about intense in giving punishment and other attributes of Allah? Why are you fooling yourself? If Allah were that merciful without limit than no one would enter 🔥 but majority gonna enter it and yeah it's our fault. Repent now because we don't have any other choice you can't just live your life the way you want thinking you will be forgiven in the end or will be given a good death. You will die the way you live. So when you set of believe about Day of repayment gets fixed only then you will have fear of Allah that will be the motivation for your good behavior otherwise keep fooling yourself like the people of Surah Hadid. General reminder to everyone including me (not talking anything about the questioner), read Quran fully and see for yourself the wisdom of it if you doubt.

My brother, addiction isn't easy like other sins. Remember, there was a Sahabi who was addicted to alcohol. You and I wouldn't dare to say that he had the qualities you described. He also struggled to get rid of his addiction. And Prophet (PBUH) confirmed that he loved Allah and his messenger.

Yes the fear of Allah is not sufficient enough to stop before doing the dirty deed in the first place, though at least repentance is done after. However, the idea of denying the ayats of Allah might or might not apply to the brother because a brother that goes through this does his best to do ibadat but he still falls into the trap since shaytan is very careful and planning how to make him fall into the trap. I would say following the sunnah of the prophet muhammad SAW will instantly transform the lifestyle and make one lose the desire of wanting to go near that filth. However, shaytan will try to make one miss watching that filth and he will make one feel a sense of nostalgia and whisper into your heart to take a look just to see if it does anything to that individual. Quitting an addiction is a lifelong journey especially Porn since it is wired to our biological urge to have children and thats where it damages men and women. Other than that though, you are right in everything else.

Watching movies can be sinful cause it shows haram stuffs like music as in beats in the movies,normalising haram relationships, showing men and women dressing inappropriately, Shirk and some makruh stuffs too .Thus tends to normalise these stuffs and deep in our minds we begin to accept them too but sincerely we Muslims are told that when we see a sin being done we have to either remove by hands ,if we are unable then by using our mouths and if we are still unable then hate them by our hearts and minds and that is indeed a sign of low iman . I believe it has opened your mind , all you have to do is sacrifice that worldly pleasure for the sake of Allah.

Im 31 man and still not married Thats how crappy my life is. When I was in early 20s, got a chance to get to know good amd beautiful Muslim women but my mum did not allow me to get married, she scare me about marriage life etc. Now Im committing sins almost everyday and have no more motivation for marriage. I become socially anxious, no longer interacting with friends.

@@abz7800 yeah, alot of rulings also apply to both, even if the hadith or verse they were mentioned in was talking about one of the two genders. Also Allah says in the Qur'an for the believers of men to lower their gaze, and also mentions for the women to lower their gaze
