My sister has a friend who had lice. She was over at our house for a sleepover, and she went to a specialist and they said she probably had lice for over a few weeks. (2 months, maybe) and so my mom & sister's friend's mom were talking, and my sister and mom went over to their house to see if they had lice. My sister's friend's mom had a special comb and she knows what it looks like, and she said she thinks they have it. Ugh, I'm praying I don't get it or that I don't have it.

I constantly find these white things in my hair that stick close to the root of my hair about 1/4 inch away from the root, but it doesn’t look like any picture of nits I keep finding. Idk what it is, it’s not round like a sesame seed, it’s flat and white and I do have dandruff but these stick to the hair, there are not very many maybe 2 here and there but idk what they are and my head feels like I have an infestation of lice crawling around but I can never find any bugs..

One thing also : if you pop it using your fingernails, you can tell if it's dandruff if it just squishes, but if it makes a "pop" sound, go see a hairdresser or get someone to check your head

So I caught lice from my cousins 3 summers ago and I still get paranoid thinking I didn't take care of it properly bc I still get itchy at times, get bumps on my heads and sometimes feel like somrtjing is crawling. I get scared thinking I gave other people it but the reason I haven't done anything else is because I got checked like 4 or 5 times by different doctors who told me I don't have it. it still makes me worry bc I'll see a lot of white stuff on my head and I'll use my finger and it flakes off but there's still a lot of white stuff in my hair. Sometimes I see others scratching and saw white stuff in my friends Hair but I checked her hair a while back and I didn't find any bugs in her hair. plus I got checked a few times after that and the docs said my scalp was really dry and I didn't have it. I think it's crazy I don't bc I didn't completely get all the white stuff out my head when I did catch it. PLEASE HELP! I reallt don't want to have it and I'm scared bc it's been 3 years when I caught in that time and hope I'm not infested. I'm thinking of going back to the doctors again to make sure one more time but they might think I'm crazy lol. I haven't been able to sleep over this. please reply soon!

I've been scratching my scalp and i saw something the size of lice on my nail (the underside). The spot i scratched didn't itch and the bug looked similar to of a lice. I'm the oldest of nine children and it's almost impossible to avoid it but we took care of it and didn't have the issue again, as youngsters and then we have our own children in school, etc. Please never feel ashamed although I get the heebie-jeebies thinking about anything like it. The only time anybody should be ashamed is when they know they have it and don't take care of it. There's so many places that if you can't afford to take care of it the health department etc helps. So, God bless and I hope the best for everyone, including my daughter who is calling driving me crazy and myself etc
