The idea of having a FULL snap on/matco or whatever crazy brand of tools is insane. Idk how some guys do it. If you want nice things, 95% of your tools can be Milwaukee or icon. You wouldn’t notice the difference on how they work, but you’ll notice it in your wallet. Less than half the price.

Industrial mechanic from europe here, the idea that I'd not get a full tool chest paid in full by the employer is mind boggling to me

I heard of an employer that did that in Canada. An employee slowly replaced every tool with cheap chinesium tools.

Yeah, there are places like that here, although rare. It’s part of being a mechanic in the US. 🤷♂️..and then they want to pay you as little wage as possible too. Geez!

Icon is exceptional. 90% as good as my Snap On tools. Tekton is pretty good, too

Agreed. I still have no complaints. Using them daily for almost 2 years now. 👍

Don’t do it! I browse the catalogs the tool truck dealers leave on my box or hand to me. Once I see the $300 socket set, I throw it in the trash. Some people like spending money..🤷♂️
