The Greatest Hits (2024) is a movie that seems like it could've been good, but wasted its potential.

Watched the first 30 seconds of your review and knew I had to find and watch this movie. Now that I've seen it, I liked the movie more than you did and actually agreed with her choice of never even "living" that life with him. He kept her from having the career she always wanted, and she seemed happier single. If you want a story about people time traveling all the time but not remembering, you definitely should read Blake Crouch's book Recursion... I'm hoping Apple TV makes it into a limited TV show as good as his recent Dark Matter show

I think I might’ve had certain expectations which is probably why I felt dissatisfied after watching this movie 😅 I thought it was going to be a sad love story type of thing, so it was weird to see her past relationship be so unappealing. I agree that she was better off not choosing the path of having a relationship with her past boyfriend. Seems more like she dodged a bullet rather than she loved him so much she chose to save his life over them being together temporarily.

Discount Eternal Sunshine lol. But yes I agree. I thought this was going to be a more surreal film, I didn't think she was ACTUALLY time traveling. Would've been better if the time travel had been metaphorical and learned to actually move on. essentially agree with everything you said

Oh that’s a good comparison! That was a much better movie revolving around similar concepts and didn’t have me questioning the message.

LMFAO AYYO Jess what was that at the end there huhhh???🤣you made me spit my drink... you were so serious with the subject then you just dropped that out of nowhere and the video just DIES 🤣🤣what the heck yo🤣don't you know words have power so we shouldn't say things like that 😄jk but that made me laugh too hard more than it was supposed to... Honestly tho these videos may actually be my alternative of scrolling through those movie recap videos voiced by AI when taking a break. getting the whole story spoiled without watching the actual movie feels illegal buuuut really fun this seemed like it was going for that butterfly effect vibe where the MC chose to let go of his loved ones to save them (spoiler alert....? oops) but the main character actually remembers. So it's poetic because the audience is bearing the weight of the decisions with him. But I can see how wiping even the decision maker's memories here would frustrate you 'cuz it feels kinda disrespectful to all the times and memories they shared together. That's certainly kinda weird

LOL I was debating cutting that part out cause I'm like, I don't want to jinx it and actually have that happen to me while crossing the street 😅 I like how you've come around to watching my spoiler videos even without seeing the movie. Though I was also thinking this is one of those movies where most people probably aren't going to see it if they haven't already, and I would spare them an hour and a half of wasted time. I was definitely extra disappointed after this because I was expecting it to give me a good cry, like I was totally in the mood for one of those. I was hoping it was going to be sort of like the movie About Time, but nope. The MC forgets everything too. The type of time travel that makes it so that nothing in the past even happened, so it's as if like the movie didn't happen either because it's not like she grew or changed as a person at all. Well, I guess we as the audience know of her sacrifice, if you can even call it that? 🤷♀️
