this use of Generative AI is by far the most useful aspect. Image extension, removal of distractions... so much of a time saver.

keep in mind, this defeats all the purpose of 99% of fiverr editors who used to be lined up to do this exact thing? Ai does it better, faster, more variations, for free

Yup, that just wiped out A TON of freelancers' jobs, in 2 massive was. 1, their field will become wildly oversaturated as huge amounts of new people get a hold of this AI feature to milk it for client work. And 2, the freelance photo editor position will be much less needed and far less valuable to clients.

​@@Leukick imagine asking 10 Fiverr editors to remove something and all you get is the same result that you could have created yourself 🤣 And some will still overcharge. As an 8 year user of Ps, editing will never be respected or the same from now on. That's like using aimbot in call of duty. Everybody will be equally skilled.

@@TheGamingChad. Yeah it sucks that photo editing alone is being hit. To make a living you'd have to be the photographer AND editor for a company. Companies still pay well for people to make their content, because they have a real budget for it and no time to do the content themselves.

@@Leukick but instead of a company hiring 20 editors they are only gonna hire one. Who fixes minor Ai flaws here and there. I predict the 3D industry is next. Possibly VFX too. The only jobs that Ai can't do as of now are the ones that get your hands dirty. Such as plumbing. Unless they actually have Terminators behind closed doors. The pattern that I see here is that desk jobs are being eliminated first.

I tried Generative AI on one of my photos showing hikers on a paved trail in a local park. I tried inserting a bear. It looked more like a graphic and not like a real bear. I also tried extending top and bottom. That was more realistic but the resolution of the extended areas was lower than the original photo and the bands are easy to spot when the image is enlarged,

​@@listonheinz9103 yeah, generic things such as rocks, trees, grass get away more easily since they don't have to be symmetrical, Ai current biggest problem is symmetrical objects, such as humans, cars, buildings, animals, etc.

@@TheGamingChad. Agreed. AI now has big issues with human hands and faces, humans have to be generated far away and out of focus for it to be somewhat convincing.

@@listonheinz9103 I assume they are gonna have realistic automatically adjustable 3d hands In the database in the future so absolutely nothing ever goes wrong with generating hands. They are gonna figure this out one way or another for sure.

When I try and save an image after using generative ai saving as jpeg is not one of the options I get. My workaround has been to move pic to camera raw and then save. Is there an easier way to enable saving as jpeg in PS?

I've tried this but I can't figure out how to navigate between beta and regular version. If I save with the beta version, I can't open the image with the normal version. It would be a big job to move all actions etc. to the beta version

Hey Colin, Im a cad designer and Ive just purchased PE 2023 and now looking at your training package. Im really interested in generative fill ai, so I havent installed the beta package yet. As Im not quite ready to use it. Q1.Will PE 2023 beta become permanent in 2023 PE? Q2. Will PE 2023 or the beta version create generative fill with a rendered hi-res image from a cad app in a perspective? ( Ive designed a small machine in cad that needs some extra/added background to flesh it out ).
