How can the ICJ's orders against Israel on Gaza be enforced? | Inside Story

The International Court of Justice has ordered Israel to stop its assault on Rafah. The order is one of three issued by the UN's top court in the genocide case brought by South Africa against Israel over its war on Gaza. Israel has long-declared it plans to intensify its assault on the southern city, saying it is necessary to dismantle Hamas. And it appears it plans to follow through with that strategy.
The ICJ's rulings are final and legally binding. But it does not have a way to enforce them.

The world needs to work on designing a corruption proof mechanism for implementing ICJ court orders. We also need reforms to the UNSC voting mechanism so that the veto is not abused.

Here's how you make Israel comply; The US has overseas military bases in nearly 50 countries, including Spain & Norway - 2 countries that have just recognised Palestinian state - these countries must threaten the US with removal of their bases if they veto any UN resolution & if they continue to supply Israel.
