Is it normal to keep thinking of trauma memories or just bad memories doing this but we just have to keep bringing our mind back to the good memories?
@DrKateTruittАй бұрын
Absolutely, it’s normal for trauma or bad memories to pop up, especially when we’re working on redirecting our focus. Our brain naturally leans toward processing negative experiences because it wants to protect us from similar pain in the future. When this happens, gently guide your mind back to the good memories. It’s a practice, and over time it gets easier. You’re doing the important work of retraining your brain. Be patient with yourself-you’re making progress! 💕

Thank you for sharing what you’re going through. It sounds incredibly challenging, and I’m so sorry you’ve been dealing with this for such a long time. 💗 Tension headaches and insomnia can often be connected to chronic stress or unresolved tension in the body and mind. The sensation of your face feeling frozen could be related to muscle tension or even the nervous system being in a heightened state of alert. If it feels like this happens during sleep, it might be worth exploring if there’s subconscious stress or even teeth clenching (bruxism) at play. Working with a trauma-informed therapist or bodywork practitioner, such as someone trained in somatic therapy, could help release stored tension. Relaxation practices like mindfulness, guided meditations, or breathing exercises might also offer relief. Additionally, speaking with a healthcare provider about your symptoms can provide clarity and tailored options for support. You deserve to feel better. Sending you warmth, strength, and encouragement as you take steps toward healing. You’re not alone in this. ❤️

Is amy responsible for sabotage sometimes?
@DrKateTruittАй бұрын
Yes, Amy (the amygdala) can sometimes feel like she’s sabotaging us! When she senses potential danger, even if it’s not truly a threat, she can amplify negative thoughts or emotions to try to keep us safe. It’s not sabotage on purpose-it’s her way of overprotecting. Using calming techniques like soothing touch or grounding can help reassure Amy that you’re okay and refocus your mind. 💗
