Might be a bit difficult with the football season going on at the same time but the ACU SHOULD REACH Out to the clubs that own the stadiums and have a British super cross season using the football stadiums could be used for Enduro cross aswell

@@IgniteMoto23 I agree, although to be fair most riders don’t have a clue about how to run an event, how much work is involved and what it costs financially and in time and effort. Not criticising the riders, they obviously are concentrating on fitness, racing, spares, bikes and costs of entering and racing the events. Promotion has to improve, attracting a wider audience who don’t necessarily race/ride themselves. The majority of people involved in the sport are already running events or riding nowadays, so don’t attend events like British MX championships. Particularly nowadays with the proliferation of vet racing, most who would have hung up their boots 30 years ago, now continue to ride or compete. Obviously with the ever increasing cost of bikes and associated costs of competing like van, fuel, entries etc, I’m guessing the total numbers of new blood starting the sport is shrinking meaning less money in the sport and less attractive to sponsors who are themselves dealing with increasing costs.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

One main championship. 3 classes, push the signing tent to have all riders like with dragon energy. Do interviews. Great at blaxhall. Superfinal with top 12 from mx1,mx1, 5 fron125.. like 5 lap dash. Extra points for respective championship. Short race full on. You would be amazed at how popular it would be. Extra points for fastest laps, qualifying etc... give a rider to go for it. Get more interviews on start line.

Motocross needs to bring in more spectators. As a casual fan, I found the promotion of the events chaotic, the Revo social media pages and website are really muddled and they don’t get back to answer queries, very poor. Prices and organisation at the tracks was fine but honestly the noise needs to come down a notch as well. As a spectator it’s pretty ear splitting and I saw plenty of people (especially children) with ear defenders on. It’s just not necessary and the locals don’t like it either. No such problems in enduro, I went to the EnduroGP in Rhayader this year and it was much better, even a handful of decibels makes a big difference. I know we all love the sound but it’s still hurting the sport in my opinion. Lastly, the catering is shocking. Couldn’t find anything half decent to eat, I’ll take sandwiches next time. I’m not being fussy but people these days expect decent fodder, especially casual fans that need to be attracted. Spectators are the lifeblood of the sport. I saw the last round at Monster Mountain last year and the crowd was really poor despite it being a great event. When the championship winners were announced there was hardly a smattering of applause, it was embarrassing and they deserve better for their skills and hard work.

One solid championship all over Britain. The other championships & the people who run them can still play a important role in British MX. Surely they have money, sponsors, resources & connections to help the British youths ride a few times a year in Europe. That’s where we fall behind is getting are youth riders racing in Europe before they are on a 250

Privateer money to help with the rounds in europe like in the 90's. Bikes are too expensive to strip and rebuild as the four strokes are so expensive where the old two strokes didn't take as much money to run. Trying to get enough points to get the entry to bigger rounds.

Jake said something iv thought for years that practice tracks are to smooth, no youth riders car ride rough well in the uk anymore or ride grass which yeh you don't need but a lot can be learnt from things like this

Here’s an idea! Reduce the ridiculous prices. I know some fantastic very high calibre young riders but unfortunately their parents just can’t afford it. These companies are making it a rich only sport. I mean these practice tracks, £40 each to ride. When families have to choose food on the table or ride a dirt bike, food always wins out. Rich, greedy track owners etc are going to drive this beautiful sport into the ground. Furthermore the price of bikes now is madness, £10,000. Mad

If you knew how much went into track to keep them open, you wouldn't be saying £40 was high price. Motocross is a cheap sport compared to the likes of karting or track days. You stick to cycling, free road tax on that!

My colleague owns a track and the costs are usually down to Marshalls, councils over charging rates. Like I say it's a rich man's sport and will soon be gone all because of greed.

The best way to sort it out is get all promoters together, each promoter runs 1 or 2 rounds, they put there all into there rounds and get to keep the proceeds from that round, each promoter can continue to try out preform each other which creates healthy competition, but all for the good of the cause of 1 championship with full gates and an awesome experience on awesome prepared tracks.

@@IgniteMoto23 Does that not happen anyway? How are the host club and venue paid then, just a flat fee? I presume if the organising club kept a larger proportion of the monies it would more likely incentivise them to improve or keep putting the effort in, hell maybe even increase spectator numbers and hence revenue? I guess though that without a proportion of riders entries and associated funds from caters and stalls etc along with ACU funds, most events probably run at a loss or marginal profit? I imagine it is usually why promoters maximise rider numbers, the kids being more profitable as they tend to bring families, increasing entry receipts? Back when I was involved running AMCA meetings in 80s and 90s rider entry fees and the club’s own catering ban run by the rider’s mums is how the profit was generated.

Yeah, having just one major main championship would be good. I was so confused (as a Finn) when Kullas won the championship, and then I found out that there was another series as well. Investing in the supercross series during the winter is also very important. I don't think you guys are far off, couple tweaks here and there and you have the best series in Europe.

Personally I think it’s giving slightly slower riders confidence by running them with really fast guys and the only way to get faster is to race with faster riders. Deffo should not be paying to enter because that is madness, the riders are what the public come to see !

I think all the riders know what this needs, but in my experience, how many organisations listen to the riders. Amca, back in the 90s, was run more professional than the ACU. The ACU still ran club events with an elastic start gate. That was Derby phoenix. Jake Nichols was to the point on 9 championships. Really. 😂 question can you qualify on the day now, like you could in the late 80s or early 90s, and just turn up.

The past seems to be the future, and alot of riders want to be part of the hype. To be the british mx champion no longer carries the weight that it use to 30 years ago.

it does not matter who runs it. if you keep having mx1 and mx2 as separate championships you are not going to fill that mx1 class. the most riders this year in that class is 25. it should go back to 1 championship. fastest 40 from qualifying into main races. then to encourage non qualifiers to race in support races, winner overall to be guaranteed a place in main championships at next round. also if you keep having two classes every year these top riders will never race each other. go back to 3 races each round aswell.

I think all everyone wants to see is the fastest 40 riders in each class in 1 Championship. And the same for the British youth. The riders need a salary. To dangerous of a sport to be getting next to nothing for the risks involved.

Stop turning in to a circus..go back to a field and ride it all day..stop the support trucks and the fans will come back. No one is interested in doubles, triples, they want to see racing where the bikes are on the ground and the fastest rider wins..isn't that what it used to be..look at the crowds then..just a thought..

Run it like the world champion series, one 450 main class top 35. mx2 top 35 no older than 23 y.o with the support series run same weekend 450/250 separate races one on Saturday and second on Sunday morning. Top five of series move up ,bottom 5 back to support class. Reason for 35 per class, allowing for 5 International wild card riders to help series reach Higher standard and create International interest in the series. Help to improve A.M.C.A series for the not so talented,

Lower the entry fees. Back in the day there were 15 GP riders in both classes and many of those had either won a GP or would be in the points in a Grand Prix moto. The AMCA was also very strong at amateur level. The South West used to have an awesome series that had cracking racing and entries as did a lot of regional areas of the UK. Unfortunately due to the cost of bikes and cost of entries it has decimated the sport. It's sad when I look at the British Championship now. The only way to make it strong is to put money into it. The best riders in Europe should be coming to race the British in between the Grand Prixs.. The riders in the top 10 now wont like it but it wil bring out the spectators and improve the racing. It's all about Money. Look at the US. The riders used to moan about the outdoora because they were tired..bang 3 rounds at the end of a series throw money at it and every rider from around the World is trying to get in it.
