Stretching is a great way to minimize post workout soreness. Using ice packs and massaging sore muscles also can help with any sore spots. Premier Health Physical Therapist, Greg Schultz, talks more about how to minimize post-workout soreness. #Conditioning

I don't care about the soreness. I just want a way to where I can recover faster from the soreness so I can workout again

If recovery time is all you’re concerned with, steroids will do the trick.

I literally did a circuit work out for twenty minutes and In so sore. Thats what I get for not moving my body for 18 years

Yes just take it easy at first, if you go too hard and get too sore, it might discourage you from wanting to do it again. Remember slowly but surly.

Never rub sore muscles or touch just rest,rubbing causes more inflammation hence taking longer to heal,

Who else is done with there first week of going to a gym with a personal trainer and hurting so bad you can't sleep wondering what u got my self back into. Reason why I haven't gone to a gym in years

A light jog or cycling works well for DOMS. Helps the blood flow among other things.

It’s so damn annoying because only one arm and one leg seem to be actually sore and the others are just fine and mislead me into typically thinking I’m fine until I use my sore arm and leg lmao

That means your working one side before the other. Watch out for that could lead to some very bad imbalances down the road ..

I was sore for 3 days after an upper body workout. It was actually pretty debilitating.

Make sure you go for an EASY run tomorrow with light stretching post-run, it will help you recover faster and flush out lactic acid. The start always sucks, but once you get warmed up you feel so much better.

False. Lactic acid builds up when you work out. It doesn’t cause actual muscle soreness. Micro tears in the muscle from working out causes the soreness...do your research. For years people thought it was the lactic acid that made you sore, but recent study over the last few years or so say otherwise.

The soreness later on is from delayed onset muscle soreness from microscopic muscle fibers being damaged from the load being placed on it from working out, not from lactic acid (technically just lactate)

@@Booboobear-eo4es basically when you do anaerobic workouts, the ATP you break down to create energy releases off hydrogen ions into the bloodstream. The Hydrogen ions create the "burn" feeling you get. They impair performance by inhibiting anaerobic ATP production, which hinders the muscle contractile process, and increases acidity of the blood, eventually leading to the muscular failure. It gets way more in-depth than that but that is basically the most simple way I could put it. So I guess the answer to your question would be "yes" in a way.

I have no arms, so I decide to lift 5kg things on each hand 25 times alternating twice a day and 2 40s planks just to slowly work my way up and now my arms feel like they're gonna break if I straighten them
