Hello there, Thank you for the video and sheet, really appreciate it. I have a question, what if I go Germany on a visit visa and start working as a freelancer and I already an employer there who wants to hire me. Can I then change my visitor visa to freelancer visa while staying there or should I come back to my country and apply again?

Converting a tourist visa to a work visa is hard. You'd better respect the rules.

@@visalibrary Thank you for the reply. but i already have a job offer but its not a white collared job. so based on that i can't have a work visa. Also, i am a freelancer and working for a german client and they want me to come to germany. i just want to confirm that with the help of a local, i can extend it right?

@@arsalankamran6023 No, while you are still in Germany, you cannot convert your visitor visa to a freelancer visa. Before traveling to Germany, you must apply for a freelancer visa to work independently there. If you have found work as a freelancer while already in Germany on a visiting visa, you must leave the country and apply for a freelancer visa from your home country. While in Germany, you cannot change your visa to a freelancer one.

@@visalibrary also, I got the job in a restaurant as a kitchen helper but based on that B.A is not giving the work permit because thats a very odd job. Is there any way to convert it. I have a sponsor letter from a German citizen and have declaration of commitment as well.

Do I need to book a hotel for the freelancer visa when I submit the documents to the German embassy or after issuing the visa? Thank you for your respect
@visalibrary Жыл бұрын
there is no specific requirement to book a hotel in order to apply for a freelancer visa in Germany. However, it's important to note that the specific requirements and procedures for the freelancer visa can vary depending on your nationality and the German embassy or consulate you are applying through. Typically, the main requirement for a freelancer visa in Germany is to demonstrate that you meet the criteria to work as a freelancer and have the financial means to support yourself during your stay. This usually involves providing documents such as a detailed business plan, proof of relevant qualifications or experience, and evidence of sufficient funds to cover your living expenses. While booking a hotel may not be a requirement, it is generally advisable to have a plan for accommodation in Germany, whether it be a hotel reservation or an alternative arrangement such as renting an apartment or staying with friends or family. Providing proof of accommodation can help demonstrate your preparedness for living in Germany as a freelancer.
