Sir, I completed my graduation (B.Com) under Calcutta University this year. I am planning to do a M.Sc in clinical psychology from NSHM which is affiliated to the MAKAUT formerly known as WBUT. Can you tell me how good is the institute for this course? And because I am shifting from Commerce to this, will it affect my earnings or profession in some way or the other in future? How much salary can I expect after completing my M.Sc, M.Phil and Phd in clinical psychology having a commerce background in Graduation?

You have few other good options as compare than NSHM, for MA/M.Sc Clinical Psychology courses like Delhi University, Jamia Milllia University (Delhi) and AUD Delhi, but this is also good one. if you will complete your Masters and M.Phil in Clinical Psychology then you graduation doesn't matter. earning depends upon the filed which will you choose. Starting earning will be ₹40,000/- after M.Phil Clinical psychology.

Amity I feel has a very good course structure for pursuing post graduation in Psychology. Infact it offers specialisation in Post Grad, for example if your are interested specifically in Counseling you can pursue M.A. in Counseling Psychology or if you are interested only in Clinical you can choose M.A. in Clinical Psychology. There are few universities that offer such kind of a specialisation at the post grad level (others being TISS, JMI, DU, IGNOU). The syllabus of the above mentioned courses at Amity are created by academicians in consultation with professionals in this field, which is what makes the course comprehensive. However, I am not very sure about the faculty of Psychology at Amity. But the course can definitely be considered if you are interested.
