First electric guitar I tried I tried plugging headphones directly into the guitar. Granted this was back before KZbin. A good suggestion are the little AmPlugs that VOX make. Great little headphone only amp.

I got a Fender Mustang micro amp. Plugs right into the guitar. Has a bunch of different settings. Good for playing with headphones. The only drawback is that it doesn't allow wireless headphones, which I would very much prefer to increase mobility.

I just plug into my pc with a rocksmith cable. In fact this is what lead me to picking up the guitar period and what has temporarily steered me away from acoustic. I can practice without annoying the house or having it burned down by my neighbors. With wireless stand alone stuff becoming a thing, i expect wireless guitar to earphones to be one of the biggest areas of development in the field for the next long time.

I use an inexpensive Donner EMO Amp Controller Pedal. It connects to the effects loop on my tube amp. I can crank up the amp but turn down the overall volume using the pedal. My Bugera amp has a built in attenuator but the Donner pedal seems to give more control.

This will absolutely sound like an advertisement but I got a Fender mustang micro amp and it is very impressive so far. Similar to the Vox mini amps mentioned in the vid although it has a lot of amp and effect simulations built in. I already have computer software and an interface so mostly will be practicing through ableton on PC via an audio interface but the micro amp means I don't need to fire up a PC to get some practice in. Great for 30 minutes practice during lunch breaks! A guitar amp with a headphone out sounds great but I'm not at a level that warrants sharing my noises with the world and I already had the software/hardware to hand.

When I started playing guitar, after learning the basics on an acoustic, my brother gave me an electric guitar he doesn’t use. A Charvel Strat shape with humbuckers, but I didn’t have an amp. In our basement I found an old Rockman headphone amp from the 80’s. I was lucky that it still worked. The best part was the fact it had a distortion switch. I could finally play Smells Like Teen Spirit right. Having to use headphones got old really quick, so I plugged in some Sony Walkman speakers I had. It sounded horrible but I didn’t care. That was my very first amp.

black star ht 5 has a headphone jack on the back i use it with a pair of sennheiser hd 280 pro head set so im getting the tube amp tone threw the head phones, sounds pretty good but the amp sounds much better when i plug it into a 2x12 marshall cab with cream backs in it

Anybody got any suggestions how to go wireless both for guitar and headphones. I've got a little cheap set up with a wireless guitar transmitter/receiver system connected to a headphone amp connected to Bluetooth transmitter/receiver connected to my Bluetooth headphones. Works quite well but latency issues with Bluetooth side of things make them not ideal. That Vox system at 4.30 sounds good. Anybody know the name and model number of this device. Boss waza air is ideal but a too pricey for me. Why do I hate wires so much?

if you already have a tube amp. the twonotes captor x is awesome. attenuates, headphone out, virtual IR cabs. xlr out to monitors and more. 100 watts handling power. $500 a bit pricey but you get alot. the oxbox and waza tube expander both are running $1300 new. They are both great as well. but the captorx was built for home and gigs. again thats if using a 50 plexi,head as desktop amp through headphones interests you.

I can plug my Tagima pre-amped nylon string solid body guitar directly into my AKG K92 headphones using 1/4 inch mono to 3/8 stereo plug and it works - no amp, no headphone amp. Have to turn the preamp almost all the way up but it produces a very nice sound in both ears. My headphones are 16ohm but don't know voltage output of the preamp so can't help much there.

The Tone Masters are a frustrating example in this. While they do attenuate down to bedroom player volumes they don't have a headphone jack which is a crucial bedroom player function. I have read you can do XLR out to a headphone amp such as with the Rode AI-1, but I don't have any direct experience. IF the Tone Master had a headphone out I would have one. In my bedroom.

I have a Boss Katana MKII 50 with a headphone jack and it's Mono. Either I'm doing something wrong or that sucks. The Boss Katana can go USB direct into the computer but the latency or lag is annoying enough to not be practical. Haven't figured this out yet. I just want to jam to some KZbin backing tracks and learn some guitar stuff.

I mean, it definitely does not sound as if I would be playing through my amp and putting a microphone to record the sound. My question is, can I connect a Bluetooth transmitter to the headphone jack of my headrush pedalboard and connect Bluetooth Headphones to that ? If so what would be the best specs of the Bluetooth headphones for the sound quality to be good. FYI, I would also hook up my guitar wireless to the pedal board so I was completely wireless. I don’t know about pedals, but I have this guitar and have tried using a Bluetooth transmitter on the 1/8” headphone out jack to a pair of Bluetooth headphones and the latency is too great.

Hey man, please do you know of headphones which are great comfortable spacious sound feel great trebble, soundstage and imaging ~$200 headphones for enjoying playing on a high end digital piano/rhodes. A pair with Least amount of sound leak and just not too flat.. More on the pleasant side 30-80 ohm I believe is optimal for electric pianos. (I've heard some headphones have an issue with the sound of "string resonance") thank you!
