this IS a more casual game, not to mention the afk-ing while-battle capabilities lmao. i've been a pokémon and a persona player since way back and to see hoyo make one on the genre is just amazing (also, the gacha system is cool for me. i haven't played phantom x yet so it's refreshing to see my gacha addiction develop once again in a hoyoverse game)

@@anteprs7908 casuals will have a hell time for bosses. i'm a filthy casual myself and have almost no time to grind (especially that it's hard to explore so big of an area every time) so i have crap gear. bosses at ar55 are fucking me over

This game literally has an AI that will play the game for you and is ample for any of the Daily resin usage. Genshin is more mechanically challenging while honaki is more strategically challenging.

It's weird, it looks like genshin is the one main cash cow for them, but instead of reinvesting it back into genshin to up its quality they just put it into honkai impact and star rail, the most liked games at least by hoyo

​@@machiyukirei2812 consider it repaying a debt or smth. Cause Honkai basically funded Genshin. Genshin being a success actually giving mhy a chance to make Honkai better. And it actually took them quite the years to be as good as it is now Genshin just about to enter 3rd anniv this year, and with HSR coming out this month. We can expect more Genshin stuffs within this year or the many more. Because even without HSR, Genshin itself is actually a very good game If u dont mind answering, what do you consider "a better genshin"?

Daily is brainless and genuinely fun not a chore, and content is content and challenges you to be a better strategist. It fun and a bonus with exploration instead of clicking UI’s best turn based hybrid ever. Hoyo is money hungry but they sometimes deliver in bliss

I love turn base games, I enjoy watching my dad play Marvel Strike force, HSR seems to be different though. Can you make a video explaining the strategy of HSR more in depth? I've watched the game play closely but I'm still confused. This is coming from a genshin player who literally smashes the buttons without thinking lol.

nah you don't have to think in HSR unless you are doing content you're underleveled for, which is also true in Genshin, but most people are max level in Genshin now

U have to think in HSR, and will took you long to beat a specific boss In genshin u just spamm the button end enemy dies

yep you can't just pressing button here, for example I used 2 skill points for bronya skill to activate on gepard just to have enough energy for his shield to activate right before boss using deadly skill to my party after bronya turn, because gepard energy is only one skill away to full

The casual part is their is an auto play mode. Nowhere near as good as you choosing actions, but for farming it’s perfectly fine

What i like about honkai aside from strategic game play, i can still lose the game meanwhile in genshin when you have certain character like zhongli or kokomi you definitely could alive

I think what they meant by casual is the farming part, you can't afk farm in genshin, you have to go here and there until you met the target of what you farmed. Meanwhile in Star Rail, you can just auto all the mobs to farm, which is a very good thing cus farming usually the first reason to get burnout in games cus how tedious it is the more you farm.

Now that the game is fully out i can say that while the auto mode feature is nice for combat. It only really is best to when farming calyx's (Leylines) for endgame content like simulated universe and forgotten halls its pretty difficult to win a fight in auto mode but its still possible if you know what your doing Plus the AI for auto combat is rly dumb lmao

It depends haha, if the casual gamer frequents turn based RPGS (i myself played Brave Frontier, FFBE, and Nier) then Honkai star rail is VERY easy to understand in my opinion. The learning curve will not be very steep especially if the player has experience in Genshin as well. However if this is the first turn based game a casual gamer has played I can see why it may be a bit harder to learn

I really can't wait for HSR because of the more or less set up algorithm lol Genshin combat has too many variable for my liking lol, especially things like rotation and how the mobs itself doesnt have a set sequence HAHAHAHA Despite that, Genshin definitely my favorite for the lore and open world

Seriously though. I can defeat a boss easy in Genshin by clapping a shield, some hydro stacks, and Hu Tao's e, instant KO. But in Star Rail, I just finally defeated simulated world 5, and I had to plan even when Welt would slow Kafka down!

Guys it'll have the exact same artifact/spiral abyss/weekly boss features. So it will suffer from the same no late game content (infinite gaming loop) and rng on top of rng on top of rng equipment, which will make building characters take months, which will in turn mean the further we go down the line the more time will have to pass before you can use the new 5 star character you just pulled. Stamina system is gonna be arguably worse as you will have only +20 stamina (compared to Genshin), but domains will cost you double (40 stamina), and they only give you 1 5 star per run. The only + side being: the events are kinda fun.

Tbf genshin's gameplay is a lot more mainstream, so people find it easy, turn based rpgs are more of a niche, so some players will already find it more difficult than genshin by defualt

Yeah, nah, you'll auto battle 90% of the times. You'll only turn that off on MoC and SU, even in SU you'll only turn that off when fighting bosses or elite mobs.
