Humans can learn a lot by having relationships with cats. Considering and focusing on what a human partner needs, instead of inserting their own 'wants' into the equation. This is something that I've learned from my various furry-balls-of-joy. They've taught me to 'read' my spouse and not take her for granted. I don't always succeed, although it is one of my daily focus. As for my eight kitties (four indoor and four outdoor), they all are different and has their own likes and dislikes, this I wholeheartedly agree with your video. Their 'spa-time' is based on what they like. Also, I feel that if I initiate contact with any of them, I keep it to just one to three petting strokes. If it seems that they're responsive for more (i.e. calm stretching, rolling a little more onto their sides or back, gentle squint of their eyes, etc...), them I oblige them. And I agree, forcing the contact because 'we' feel that need to touch them is humanly selfish. We should care about their 'personal space'.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughtful insights and experiences! ❤️ It’s beautiful how your relationships with your cats have helped shape and deepen your understanding of your human relationships-what a profound connection to have! 🐾 You're absolutely right about the importance of tuning into each cat’s unique personality and respecting their boundaries. Observing their body language, as you described, is such a loving way to ensure they feel safe and valued. Your approach to "spa-time" and respecting personal space shows how much you care about their needs over our human desires-it’s a lesson we can all benefit from. It’s clear that your furry family, both indoors and outdoors, are incredibly lucky to have someone who truly listens and learns from them. Thank you for sharing your story-it’s an inspiration for all of us cat lovers to be more mindful and compassionate in all our relationships. 💕🐈

Isn't the Cat Distribution System fabulous? I recently lost my eighteen-year-old Beezley, who picked me out as her favorite. We did the slow blink together, and I called her my "cat blanket" because she slept on my stomach. How I miss her . . . . . . . .

I'm so sorry for your loss. 💔 Beezley sounds like she was an absolutely amazing companion, and the bond you shared was truly special. The slow blinks, her picking you as her favorite, and being your "cat blanket" - those are memories of love and trust that will always stay with you. Losing a cat like Beezley is heartbreaking, but it’s a testament to the incredible connection you had. Sending you love and comfort as you navigate this loss. Beezley will always hold a special place in your heart. ❤️

Nonsense. The cat’s favorite is whoever fed them last.

You haven't ever had a cat choose you as their favorite....of course they're food driven, but they DO choose favorites.

That's a common belief, but cats can actually form deep bonds with their humans that go beyond just food. They’re smart enough to know who fills the bowl and who gives the best head scratches!

That was cool! The girl was doing a rune reading while she was sitting with her cats
