Thank you for showing us how to take apart the old bag and use those pieces as a pattern for the new bag. For those asking for measurements or a pattern, they have the pattern IF they have an old bag that needs to be replaced. I'm actually making a wider bag that's nothing like the old one, but it was interesting to watch your video. I've reupholstered many pieces of furniture and this is a minor sewing project compared to that.

I made my new cover 2 years ago a bit wider and taller than original so it doesnt stress the seams. I love it. Am going to make another in recycled denim jeans so I can wash it too.

You take the old bag apart and use the pieces as your pattern. She shows that at the very beginning with the animal print fabric which was part of the old bag.

I'm having a hard time understanding how you can watch this video and not see she uses the old bag, which she took apart, and used those pieces as her pattern. Just like you do when you reupholster an item. She even uses pieces of the trim from the old bag for the new one. I hope that helps. I'm not trying to be difficult but this question seems to continually be asked.

You already have the measurements. You have to take the old bag apart and use those pieces as your pattern. The entire first part of this video shows how she did it. Please watch it from the beginning. The animal print is the old bag. She deconstructs it like you would when recovering a piece of upholstered furniture. Then each piece can be laid out on the new fabric and be cut to match exactly.

I know your question is 2 years old, but the original shopping bags slip over the handle and have a fabric piece that attaches with Velcro.

The measurements are a secret to those who didn't watch the first part of the video, which shows she deconstructed the old bag and used those pieces (the animal print fabric), and used each piece as a pattern for the new bag. It's the same process you use to reupholster a piece of furniture.

She gave you the measurements when she showed how you deconstruct the old bag and use the pieces (the ones that were animal print) as pattern pieces for the new pieces. If you go back and watch the video, you will see that.
