He only got fired from the Travel Channel because they wanted to be the ghost channel. I remember watching Anthony Bourdains first episode as it aired and watching Bizarre Foods, it got me into cooking and travel. My parents would leave home at 5am for work and come back sometimes at midnight, so I was cooking for myself at age 10. Those years of Travel Channel's best years got me through depression and loneliness, got me into cooking, and the joy a good meal can give to someone.

Wonderful story. Indeed gratitude is so important during these times and I applaud his humility. We could use a heavy dose of that these days. On another front, I miss Jeff Glor. In my opinion, it was a mistake to let such a talented journalist go and I hope he lands another gig that appreciates his skills and talents. The set looks empty without him, and although Dana and Michelle are trying, there’s a void at the desk that needs to be filled. Sometimes, I think, CBS news programs always want to be third place behind ABC and NBC when the CBS journalists are far superior than the other networks. Jeff is that kind of journalist networks need. I wish the Saturday program well and will continue to watch.
