Honestly, I agree. The Cheonliang Arc is one of if not the most hyped arc in lookism. It has been hyped since chapter 252. Not to mention how much was revealed and introduced in this arc. Overall, 11/10.

Overestimating the arc lmfao, Arc tried doing too much at the same time and it seemed to have forgotten the main focus which was Vins backstory, kings backstory should’ve been it’s own arc, it also could’ve been more fleshed out like how tf did Vin and Sujin start liking each other. Mujin’s reveal was one of the worst decisions PTJ has ever made, it ruins Gaps character as “The Strongest” of gen 0. Mujins also a plot device to show vins potential which is BS since his character concludes after he beats taejin there’s no need for him to be a top tier by EOS.

Cheonliang was badass as all hell. And like Vin Jin said before the arc, it wasnt just his story it was the story of the First Gen as well.

At first i didnt like the arc much as it messed up the timeline but the ending of the arc was top tier. And seonji man you cant introduce a character this peak and take him away. Also seonji's death was one of the most beautiful art i have seen in lookism. Also taejin getting beaten was atleast for me the most satisfying moment along with fraudjima brothers get owned by seonji.

If anyone noticed during chapter 493 when jinchang took off his glass to proceed to wreck the kojima brothers, we could see some of scars on his right hand, which prolly cuase by when he destroy jaegyeon na but foreshadow the present scars on his left that was gifted to gim by gitae kim hand blade

PTJ was cooking in this arc we got our glorious King of cheonliang Seongji Yuk,Gitae Kim face reveal,2 0th gen characters reveal which was the head of the yamazaki and mujin,Vin jin reason for bullying duke it doesnt justify it but its one of the main real reasons people bully others,and James Lee is always a win James Lee is basically the shanks of lookism he appears after a while,be badass and dissapear for a hundred chapters again

Seonji was one of the best charecters since Jake Kim, Vin Jin was also fleshed out so well making you sympathetic towards him and Mary too their friendship was awesome. We also got intros legends like Jin Mujin and Gitae Kim

Mujin Jin might have been killed by Charles Choi. I think that may be the trigger or a sort of a reason for Vin Jin to go against Charles Choi. Everyone in the gen 2 has some sort of beef with Charles Choi and Gun because of what they did, and I think Cheonliang arc just laid out sort of reason for Vin Jin to ally himself with Allied and the Workers. If Mujin is still alive, it would be a mess. He's likely to be too strong to be dealt with. And he was given the red paper. Charles Choi, this huge paranoiac, even if Mujin didn't know what was written in this paper, just like what he did to Taejin, he would torture him at the bare minimum

Its a good arc don’t get me wrong but idk if I’d say the best. Probably because I felt like the drive of this arc was more because of the hype like with gun being there, getting to see gun and vin’s dad, the kings together as well as of course the james lee fight scenes and gitae. I feel like it was lacking a bit of storytelling and personality, a bit rushed as well, but that’s just my opinion ig 🙏 (Seongji my 🐐 tho)

I still feel like you overlooked vin jin ALOT, like i really do mean alot, all of his character growth, his rivalry with taejin, his friendship with the crew and his relationship with yeongji are all things that were crucial to the plot of cheonliang, but just got overlooked cause of "hype fights". thats my opinion tho ofc

Cheonliang arc was the worst of all. 1. Too much rushed. One example of this is how Vin and Taejin fight takes place. basically all that hype about Cheonliang's brutal fights with glasses on floor, which was told by Vin Jin to Vasco, all that bragging and it just happened once??? 2. Illogical stuff. Now, why tf Vin is avoiding his old friends from Cheonliang?? He just killed a guy who deserved dying, so not like any of them have much reason to hate him or want to kill him. 3. Wasted a great character like Seongji Yuk. His death again was just rushed. Wasn't even emotional. While, old lookism flashback arcs like of big deal used to make me cry. 4. Why tf that guy who was Vin's friend with glasses who got his joints cracked by Taejin alive?? I mean in flashbacks they showed it like he died a brutal death, and dude was just alive?? 5. It didn't really justified Vin's character much. Only thing it showed was the reason why he wear glasses which was because his teacher who called it cool died. Rest, nothing about his bullying behaviour and all that shit he pulled. 6. Bragging all this time about how brutal Cheonliang was in Vin's middle school, and all they showed about that time? Almost nothing. Just few scenes. 7. Improper and illogical shit. In the flashback, it seems like Mujin just barely taught Seongji Yuk for just a month or few months. And dude equalled James Lee, the genius among geniuses???? And Vin's dad also seems just recent idea of ptj. To somehow make Vin more important, because he literally was never even foreshadowed before. Also, like why tf the kojima brothers and Cheonliang villagers not do anything about Seongji? Like he literally beat some of their gang members too. So, they could have easily captured him when he didnt get that strong yet. 8. And Charles Choi and Gun not oneshotting Kojima brothers but instead pushing them back? Even jichang one shotted both brothers at once. That fight was literally worst. 9. James Lee called Gitae Kim from Mexico, just to defeat Jichang??? Lmfaoooo. What tf was even that?? Like dude could have defeated Jichang himself which he later does after recovering. What was the rush in doing so? Or could have sent both Gun and Goo if defeating Jichang was so much necessary. But nah, dude literally summoned King of Mexico for defeating a city level King. And Gitae wasn't even interested in the title. Just a rushed intro for Gapryong's son. 10. And this cult like shit of the shaman?? It was literally a fckin copy of God Dog story in Johan's flashback. Literally copy. Lack of creativity from ptj. 11. Vin was scary, mysterious at first. But nothing like that was found in the story. None of the fights are scary anymore. Like if u re read vasco vs Vin, it feels damn scary. But Vin here just lost all that for some reasons. Only thing good about this arc?? That was James vs Seongji Yuk fight. That's all.
