What China has done in the EV industry is an achievement that no others can match. China has done tremendous positive contribution to the world in combatting the climate change and that is far more than any of the Western powers has done. It was the western powers who complained about China’s pollution situation and demanded China to do more about it. Then China invested most in the fields of renewable and clean energies and become the leader in EV industry. China also is the leader in battery technology that is the core technology of EV industry. China has done what other could not have in came up with EVs that are more affordable and with more advanced technology for the entire world to consume and to benefit from. This should be a celebration because this is the biggest contribution to the world in combatting the climate change. China’s pollution situation has improved tremendously and have met safety level in every cities. Almost all of the vehicles used for public transport are EVs and 70% of other vehicles are EVs as well. Why all of the sudden, Western powers slowed down on the implementation of EVs? There are plenty demands for EVs but the Western countries led by the U.S. do everything to stop the use of Chinese EVs even they don’t have the capability to produce their own. They didn’t shut down every oil well in the country, kept them open etc, but also invested heavily into green technology such that their transition would happen in a manageable fashion. Just think of the 25% of global green house emissions that are industrial based. Much of that can be replaced by thermal heat storage powered by renewables. Also half of global shipping is to move oil around. When that’s gone it also eliminates a huge source of the dirtiest fuel burnt. District and area heating fuelled by thermal storage powered by renewables. Home furnaces will move to heat pumps which are more efficient, and can be fueled with home based solar. Anyway you slice it we are going to cut our emissions in half in the coming decade, for one simple reason, economics.

Worldwide power electrical generation is becoming more renewable whether you like it or not, so EV emmissions pay back will reduce as time goes by. Go Google the facts. As an EV owner - here in Europe - I think this video’s creator is losing the run of himself - it’s far from clear that China can continue to provide the levels of subsidies that it has been providing (basically China’s public finances are in poor shape - check informed videos on KZbin if you don’t believe me); secondly the spending power of your average Chinese has declined (plenty of stories of Chinese industrial workers being owed wages for 5 or more months - check the videos) - so it is to the rest of the world that China must expect to sell all its EVs; unfortunately EV purchases of models such as the competitively priced BYDs are far from spectacular in W. Europe and N. America - people are hanging on to their ICE cars as they face rising food and energy bills and rents - also there simply isn’t the car charging network sufficient to make wide scale adoption of EVs feasible - and - in W. Europe anyway - it’s doubtful the huge additional amount of electricity generation needed to power the millions upon millions of EVs (that the Green lobby envisages) can be brought on stream anytime soon. Conclusion - I like the fact that my EV doesn’t spew out stuff that pollutes the air - but - whatever about the long term - China may - in the next 5 years - have the highest number of EVs on the road of developed countries but I doubt that - even in 10 years - the rest of the world will see an EV revolution - more likely a severe, prolonged recession !

Your comprehension skills in Math, Accounting and Economic subjects are terrible. 😂😂😂😂😂 You only rely on Fake news from the West.

Soooo what energy source will fuel the batteries in the EV? Ohhh OIL!!! Wtf

Oil is not a big source for electricity in China.

@risikocontrollingmr.1833 China uses 15M barrels of oil a day!! Or 15% of the world's consumption. What are you talking about?
@risikocontrollingmr.183326 күн бұрын
@ you know that you use oil for the whole organic chemistry and for driving around with a ice car?

Never heard of Nuclear Plants ( WHICH US has LOTS) ??? Oh .. USA burn OIL to Power their Power Plants !!!
@ThePatriot_Ranger27 күн бұрын
A government enforced ev push doesn’t really tell me that oil is in trouble lol. But I guess I see how someone who thinks governments should control everything forcing their people to buy evs is in fact a real market shift but sorry to break it to ya lol.

No, EVs are so cheap in China that there is absolutely no point buying an ICE car and pay for gas while car enthusiasts there are rich enough to pay a tax to keep their ICE car. China is literally technologically 20 years ahead of USA in technology application.

The mandate is important. Any big auto could have sold us million mile vehicles 50 yrs ago. They chose to extort their customers with " Designed to Fail " ICE junk. They are ALL avoiding the much simpler EV because it is far more difficult to utilize this scrupulous tactic .
@ThePatriot_Ranger27 күн бұрын
@ it’s cheap because the government set it up that way. Not hard to do when you control every aspect of the market. They are 20 years ahead in the technology that keeps your citizens on a knee sure. Keeps slaves in the mines and children from jump off factories they are so miserable working in sure.
@ThePatriot_Ranger27 күн бұрын
@ well I agree with you there the system has been turned to screw everyone and extort money from them sure. But that’s not how it’s always been and that’s now how it always has to be either.

Tony seba said only a reduction of 20 million barrels per day is enough to crash oil price into ground i think it's true
