China is DEMOCRATIZING green cars, green energy. The world needs democracy the China style not bombs and regime change

Toyota is the Boeing and Kodak of today's Japanese auto industry. Its global dominance days are numbered.
@Richard-s1d5qКүн бұрын
The Honda Prologue is made in Mexico by SAIC, the controlling parent partner company of GM in China. It is of Chinese origin, not Japan or America. SAIC is far from the best among the ultra innovative BEV brands from today's Middle Kingdom.
@Richard-s1d5qКүн бұрын
Toyota, Honda and Japan as a whole have failed miserably for not adopting Nissan & Carlos Ghosn's lead in BEVs well over a decade ago. Today, China has surpassed Japan in every BEV metric. Too little, too late. Arrogance has its pitfalls.

Now I get it. BYD has many people working in research and development? Forget it. Brazil has cheap electricity and high gas prices. That is the key. Same in China. In contrast Germany has high electricity prices and not so high gas prices.

BYD EV cars are great for urban use like taxi's and home to work travel. EV's are not a good option for long distance travels in Brazil. Fast charging is very limited and even if there are, these charging points, like in Europa, can get over crowded very fast. Yes, there is a future for EV but mainly urban use! Until we get 1K km real range and a price drop so middle class Brazilians can buy one, it will stay a nich market.

Consumers are ALWAYS RIGHT to get VALUE-FOR-MONEY in any thing they BUY. Previously ... we have been given Sub-Standard and Polluting ICE vehicles . In the last 40 years we where "" TOLD ... They are Clean , Comfortable , Value for Money and Good !!!"" and Consumers had "NO CHOICE" !!! Only ICE vehicles.

There is hard data to *PROVE* BYD is safe. In fact, not just safe, but *THE SAFEST* of all car brands in Brazil. Other car companies need to learn from BYD. At least to get the same safety ratings as BYD. ( PS. But not just in Brazil. BYD also has the *HIGHEST* 5 star safety ratings in the EU, New Zealand, and I believe also Australia )

Great for taxi's and urban use! High up front cost: A partir de R$ 179.800 for a small car. My Toyota Corolla 2014 cost me 70K in 2020, so i have R$ 100K available for fuel and maintenance to drive many many years to be even with this small EV. Not to speak about the comfort difference for long travel. I drive 6K km a year! Would not be a economic nor environmental good option if driving ethanol.

There will be a reduction in terrorism for sure. Saudis no longer control the oil economy and hence they will no longer use terrorism as a pretext to inflate prices. However, indubitably, the Saudis will plan to destabilize the Xinjiang region along with the help with CIA.
