+Les Nordman You're welcome! But so you know, it was actually Joshua Philipp from The Epoch Times who did all the hard work. +China Uncensored Chris, why do we feel that this type of theft has to be so complicated? Even before the internet, they were sending in "employees" to work for these fortune 500's to steal. Simple - 1) pay graft to get student into excellent university. 2) Said student graduates and the CCP pays graft to get said student employed in various fields, corporations, etc... 3) Said student knows they are indebted to the party (and are loyalists anyway)...so they produce the data the CCP is looking for. SIMPLE! I have seen these phenomena first hand! Why haven't we caught on yet?...because the corporate greed is out of control! Of course, now they are finding out the expense of sponsoring high level Chinese workers to save $20,000 or so opposed to hiring an American worker. And what about the student loan cost - as Americans are qualified, but cannot get hired! When are people going to wake up! It's not rocket science...well, maybe by now, it is! ;)

@IamRayson9 жыл бұрын
That's just it though, China denies it is hacking. If a company notices it's being hacked and they reply by frying the hacker's computer, things will get pretty awkward if China whines about their fingers slapped. Also, while the CCP is made up of petty bitches, I don't see them risking nuclear war over some toasted hardware.
@IamRayson9 жыл бұрын
I never said they were armatures. But that doesn't mean they are invincible. Also, if they can target particular companies here for their R&D, why doesn't that mean the hackers base can't be specifically targeted? Lastly, about the guys on the ground here, many might not be ethically Chinese, just guys want some extra cash, Also, we don't make people disappear here. We would either publicly arrest them and have a trial, or have them work for us and do not press charges in return.

Let's be clear for one thing. There are greedy people and there are creative people in China (domestic or foreign educated). CCP has being doing things immorally for national interests or corruption, but that doesn't mean the entire generation or race have sunk to that level. Many great engineer/designer exists on the world platform in many industries and has their own IP / awards acknowledged. So Chris should really make it clear that state-run dirty "secrets" does not represent the all Chinese people across the world. (many westerners think Chinese people as a whole are bad rather than CCP.)

CCP has No regard for Intellectual Property Rights / Patents / Copy Rights, so much so the Chinese Laws may as well be about protecting the thief and punishing the innovator / inventor. Here is how things actually work, Entrepreneurs & Industrialists from all over the world attend Tech Expos at Europe, Japan, South Korea, United States etc to find tech and machines they need to buy and once they find it, these Entrepreneurs & Industrialists go to China to find / get made cheaper knock offs or "Re-engineered" options (which basically is outrageous violation of patents) of the original tech they found at the Expos. The Entrepreneurs & Industrialists can't be blamed cause they need to produce at the lowest cost possible in order to be competitive, its this system created by the CCP that is the culprit as it rewards stealing.

The Chinese people making the pie have sweatshops with people working for pennies... While "Grandma" on the other hand has to fully pay the people working under her with a fair and reasonable salary. If "Grandma" wishes to survive against her Chinese competitors she has to move overseas and start her own sweatshop. Which is why we have so many jobs leaving the US... Because China is stealing production technology and American companies have to compete against them.
@zachcrawford58 жыл бұрын
Usually "Grandma" is using chinese labor as well and just marks up the price and instead of distributing some that extra profit to the laborers or paying chinese taxes (that chinese sellers must pay) that could in turn improve the lives of those laborers, she tends to use it to patent troll competitors, stifling innovation and competition. Oh and also for suicide nets, I guess her workers don't enjoy making Apple pho- uh..er..pies.
@cstwister8 жыл бұрын
Hey lets just fucking talk logic. Lets just say grandma sells pies way too expensive. Expensive things mean lower number of sales. Lower number of sales means less profit. However if you charge at a reasonable price range, more people will buy even more pies at a time. Its something people WANT and is also a NEED because its food. Would it be logical to charge at a high price? and On the other hand, lets say you make some innovative tech, how would it affect you if some Chinese company began selling cheaper versions of it to YOUR old customers? Well Lower sales, lower sales means less profit, meaning job cuts, meaning more people losing jobs and relying on food stamps which are supplied by tax payers which means taxes gets raised meaning national economy drop. Not very good is it.

I work in the drone industry and every time when a new developer thinks of an innovative and clever technology within weeks sometimes days it can be bought from ebay or other online stores as a clone. The copies are almost always a terrible material quality but within a short period the copied items are manufactured using better quality materials. So the Chinese copy the new tech, make money selling cheap knockoffs then use that money to develop the technology further. What it does is it puts the original developer out of business by making the product too cheap and being unable to compete when customers start buying too many. Then the Chinese copier are able to spend the profits on developing the technology further and then have taken that market for themselves. It is going on so frequently that it is becoming impossible to continue in this business for many western companies. I live in Australia and this is happening to New Zealand, United Kingdom and Europe markets, and Australian and American markets. It is now at the point where western markets are unable to compete because it has been happening so long Chinese markets now have the edge over ours because they have more automated factories and have displaced us from the manufacturing industry.

I've seen piracy in the early 1980s when I began selling American-made products to China. This is not news. There is a silver lining to this chronic problem. We have been selling American-made industrial components and scientific products to customers in China since 1981. There are discerning customers in China who pay more for high quality, Western-made products and shun cheaper, pirated, home-made goods.

So many of the comments are like "yeah, but, the USA does bad stuff too!" Yeah, no shit. You do realize that, logically, if someone says "A!" and you say "B!" you haven't disproved A, right?

Dear all , I am a normal Chinese citizen ,after watched ur exposure, I feel the most shame thing is the true strategy to steal and transfer of country politics . I do believe just very few Chinese feel as same as me ,instead they still so proud of what Chinese Communist Party done .We were so poor homeless after the WW2 according to the history , after all this we finaly geting much better in recent. To developing this large and hopeless country is pretty hard work , I do believe the purpose of China is not trying to against US but just feed 1.5 Billion ppl in China . However, There are so many innocent Chinese ppl out there , We still live in peace and we love to change the world in to peace . We just hope all ppl of the word can be friend . From China Nobody.

I'm sorry but I do not believe that they are doing something wrong? look up the $4 cell phone.. and yet companies here in north America are going to charge us close to $500 for that same phone under their name.(The exact same phone). Blueprints should be allowed to be accessed by anyone. how else will we break the bubble of overpriced consumer goods and inspire innovation?

If this is so prolific, why are America companies still storing their design specs on networks that can be accessed externally?

the principle of patent law is by opening the tech to public in exchanging of protection for a certain time. If a company decide to keep their tech as a business secret, they can not blame others to sell the similar product after they figure out how to produce the similar thing.

China is actually way ahead of the world in understanding and fully absorbing the idea that technology and ideas should be shared unencumbered by silly old ideas like 20 year patents!

Why don't tech companies just *not* put their secrets on the internet? Just put their top secret stuff on an isolated server that can only be accessed directly?

It's still not clear to me where the "stealing" takes place. If you buy a can of Coca Cola from Walmart, figure out its composition, and then create your own "knockoff" then is that considered stealing?

China has more patents approved each year than US in the US since 2017. I want to know why US approved those patents that are mostly copied from the US.

After watching this episode I realized how weak US's muscles these day when it comes to protecting their patents/technologies being stolen by the enemies. It worries me a lot since China is becoming more aggressive these days. I'm starting to lose faith in America in defending it's allies and themselves.

There is NO knockoff product software that are made in China for example Windows software or Windows 10.
