Long time, no see. Hope you guys are doing great :)
In this video, I’m going through my final thoughts on the entire experience before travelling back to Finland. This is kind of a short version of what has happened during the year, but I hope it gives a good insight of what happened and how much there can be within one year.
Thanks for watching.

Guarantee and rest assured that you will enjoy and like your stay there. Chinese people are warm and welcoming, they are not racist. Just look at China with over 30 minority groups and they all live in harmony and peace, equality and they don't have any discrimination and conflicts.

Great video and interesting evaluation. I’m in Shanghai and went exchange to the US when I was in SJTU. The real nourishment is that over time it allows for a dynamic perspective of the trajectories different countries are taking. Back then I was like the US so way ahead, but just a decade passes and you see which country is making better progress. Like if you come back to Shanghai 10 years from now the hope is that there will be less indoor smoking and more friendly people. I say this because I remember how it’s like 10 year ago.😅

China is in a transitional period, a great transitional period. Its so different from 40 years ago, comparing now, It's different from 30, 20 and 10 years ago as well. It will be massively massively different also from now in another 20 years

There are numerous of videos from foreigners who have... travelled to China, are working in China (Katherine's Journey to the East), had their children born in China (YT channel: Our Chinese Life) had their who are living in China with the Chinese spouses (Jerry's take on China), etc. To get an overall impression of China, watch those videos too. Thanks for your video. 🕊

China is a vast country with regions that have vastly different landscapes, ethnicity, customs and languages. Did you know that Mandarin wasn't even widely spoken before the 1990's? Have you considered visiting some of these different regions?

Cool vid! Last year, I spent an semester abroad in Korea, so I totally understand how you are feeling! I am planning to double Master's degree in Management. The first year of this degree will be in Austria and the second year in Taiwan. Your vids have been really inspiring and helpful, so thanks a lot! I am really looking forward to this adventure (if I get accepted :) ) I wish you all the best in your 'normal life' and I am sure that all the experiences gained abroad will be extremely influential for you! But im scared about the fees for staying there and the flight I think i will also have to leave my working student job that I have now :(. Also what do you plan on making videos of next? since most of your content was about exchange :D

Yeah it’s a difficult thing to go. In finland there’s a government support network designed for aiding students financially so that they can go easier on exchange. It’s not as straightforward in other countries. I have a couple ideas of what the future holds for this channel. I won’t stop posting regularly. That’s for sure.

@ArniJ.
@ArniJ. 21 күн бұрын
Depends so much where you live and study. My 4 person dorm for example was about 100€/ month, but my friends paid so much more on the one person rooms. That alredy can jack up the price of exchange. Then there’s scholarships, government funding and other ways to compensate the trip. I’d say every exchange person has a custom monetary policy.

@ArniJ. I'm talking about like general day to day spending my bills are covered. Like is travelling affordable like in Europe where we can do a weekend away for like £200 to 300. Also love the vids, what kinda content you looking to do after exchange?

I'm Chinese and thank you for your opinion on this, China is very beautiful and for sure a different experience like any other country and people should try to visit it more, and don't be scared to go despite what the media would tell you. However I agree with the mannerisms of Chinese people like smoking randomly and spitting on the ground or clearing the throat loudly "KKKHHHHHKKKK", these are some atrocious habits that didn't die down even until now from when China was still very poor.
