It's crazy to think that the two players that made the biggest plays in super bowl 49, Mathews and Butler, were working at Footlocker and Popeyes the year before.

I played with Chris at LA Harbor College, his catch at 3:33 of this video was the most amazing catch I have ever seen in person. The video does not do it justice, the guy did a 360 1 handed catch between 2 people . Amazing to see him go from playing JUCO ball at that field in San Jacinto, CA to the Super Bowl. Guy was humble as well always rooted for the guy.

Just wanted to say thank you. As an ex professional football player that knows the heartache of trying to reach your dream and losing it, I find these videos therapeutic. Watching you break down other guys stories does two things for me. It helps me see that I am not alone in the struggle I went through, and that it is normal for many of us to not know where to go or what to do after being chewed up and spit out. We work our whole lives to reach the dream, and even though many of us are just as good or better than guys on nfl rosters, we often dont make it. There is just so much beyond our control. But for us since our whole lives were invested in football, when its over, it takes years to figure out who am I and what do I want to do with my life. And for a 25-27 year old man your at a huge set back, because most people by that age already figured it out, have there masters - professional degrees or a very defined route and career plan. Hell often times we dont even know where to start. And then on top of that its painful, when you have no skills, and all you can can do is work a bullshit job like security(which Ive done) or flip burgers, when just a few years ago whole stadiums cheered and yelled your name as you dominated on the field. So thank you bro! When Im watching these videos it actually helps with the heartache even after all these years by seeing these stories. There are a lot of us out there that still feel the fall out of our failure.

Love the videos. One note: Chris Matthews had 900+ yards in 2010 at Kentucky with 9 tds. More tds than Cobb had. Not sure why he wasn't drafted! Also, thought it was interesting that his one catch in preseason with Cleveland was a TD and it was from Jarrett Brown.

The crazy thing is Malcolm Butlers situation was the same and when he made the big pick in the super bowl the pats made a purpose to improve him to be the starter and lockdown corner for them and it was just one play. While Chris practically was the only shine of hope for the Seahawks that game. And they just cut him. They only thing I can’t take from that is that Bill Belicheck sees the higher power in who ever

This was an awesome video, I always love how you can continuously pull me in every single video, even if idk the person you're talking about, you always keep me interested! Idk if I've ever saw you do a video on Southern Miss and Korey Robertson and Ito Smith are both amazing players and have showed out the past few years. And maybe do a what happened to Deandre Brown, he was the #1 player in Mississippi who ended up going to USM and showed out his freshman year, broke his leg in bowl game, comes back still just as fast, he was 6'6 220 or so and fast as hell. I'm not gonna say everything though figured may let you do some research maybe lol. Either way I love your videos and didn't realize I typed a novel ha-ha. And maybe one other player from southern miss who is in the NFL and has went back and forth, Austin Davis, an amazing college QB who broke most or all of Brett Favres records at USM! Please do a Southern Miss video, I'm begging you ha-ha!!!!!!!
