Interesting how the father is presented. He was a terrible husband, but when he moved out he was assaulted. Do you know, no matter how much money you have, how hard it is to take a child from it's mother?! Clearly there were issues with HER. Then, for her to "miss her baby so bad she'd just show up". If shoe was on the other foot you'd be saying "dad was so unstable he'd just show up unannounced" - and then for the son to choose to move back with his "famous dad" as if that's reason enough for a child to leave his mother? Sounds to me like when Kevin was old enough, he chose the more stable household. Perhaps Kevin didn't turn out the way he did because of his father, but because of his mom?! As a father, who has had to make the tough decision to take custody from an unstable mother, the anti-father bias here is pretty gross.

1989 was actually an incredibly successful draft year. 4 of the first 5 picks were Hall of Famers! Typically the No 1. pick is Hall of Famer only about 1/3 of the time.

It worked out for GB in the long run. Barry Sanders was on the Packers’ radar. If they draft Sanders, GB suffers the same fate the Lions did: they improve, but they just aren’t good enough. Lindy Infante hangs around as Head Coach a few more years than he should. The Packers miss out on hiring Mike Holmgren. The team doesn’t escape the mediocrity of the 1980s.

officials are forced to sign NDA or they cant officiate games. Like Buddy said there are so many stupid vague ass rules that are open to interpretation so guide or steer a game i a certain direction. If the officials arent told to steer games in a certain direction or arent told to do anything fishy, then why do they have to sign NDA's? employees that work for companies that have to sign NDA's are companies that have technologies, formulas, products, proprietary or intellectual blends or property and cant talk to competing companies about trade secrets. Or NDA's are used in court after someone settles and pays a person X amount of dollars but aren't allowed to talk about what happened in the court case or during the settlement to prevent the dirty laundry from being aired. ANYONE can have access to the NFL rule book and see what officials have to know during a game. There is ZERO reason for an official to have to sign an NDA unless they are being told to do dirty things from the men that are writing their checks. What, are the officials being trained in a super secret high security program that the public cannot be told about? NO, they literally have made NFL films about the training and practice the officials go through before being selected to work for the NFL. It's all public knowledge and the NFL released the NFL Film to try and show fans how hard it is to be an NFL official. It's plain and simple, officials are forced to sign NDA's cause they are told to swing games certain ways if they are being blown out and people change the channel, or they are hoping to have certain teams make the playoffs for better storylines and matchups that will bring in more viewers with allows the TV channels to charge more for commercial time, which allows the NFL to charge CBS ESPN NBC FOX AMAZON SUNDAY TICKET etc. more money for more games and also BETTER MATCH UP GAMES, and prime time games. Not to mention more ticket and concession sales and lots of revenue to help build those new billion dollar stadiums that are popping up all around the country every 5 years. you think When Billions and Billions of dollars are at stake, that NOBODY is going to try and manipulate and mold their product as much as they can? There are SO many rules that are bullshit, subjective, cannot be reviewed, whistles cant be used in reviews, cant review a call under two minutes when the game is on the line the most? I swear, i cannot wait for the day when the teams are going to be allowed to have more players on each team cause they are forcing the teams to play 18+ games every season where each team will start saving a roster spot for an enforcer just like in hockey, a player that isnt good but when these officials start getting Blatantly crooked they send that enforcer in and absolutely SMASH crooked officials so they are laid out on the field with broken orbital bones and cannot smell or taste again for the rest of their life. Set that official up in a shell or pick play so he cannot move out of the way in time for that 245 lb 4.4 "WR' that dives helmet first into an officials head and neck area while enforcer was trying to catch the ball. They need to be sent a message cause when bad calls cost teams a game and all that happens is the competition committee writes a letter back saying "Oh we reviewed the play in question, and it was a bad call.......sorry" We'll look into it further in the off season. BETTER LUCK NEXT YEAR! Seriously man, Nothing pisses me off more than knowing how hard these head coaches coordinators and assistants work every week ro game plan and prepare to play their best game against their opponent just to have it all taken away by some little shit head in a fucking zebra outfit. The ONLY game I watch is my favorite team and then i stop streaming and carry on with my day. And during EVERY PLAY, when its done and the whistle blows i watch the field for yellow flags coming in from out of the view of the camera. Thats how bad officiating has gotten, that my eyes are trained to look for flags during EACH and EVERY play. THAT is NOT an enjoyable way to watch a game. I have ZERO passion anymore cause the moment i do get happy i see yellow flags flying in and its some bullshit and during the slow motion review i see holding and ace masks not being called right in front of the officials. The NFL is a TRASH PRODUCT

Flemlo, One detail I will add to this story is that the Head Coach of the Raiders at the time, Lane Kiffin, didn’t want Jamarcus Russell. He has been very outspoken about that obvious fact. Jamarcus saying that it was a toxic situation from the get go wasn’t just his imagination. It was a real thing. That part of the story was out of his control. How he chose to get through what he went through was in his control. Jamarcus Russell’s story is definitely a tragedy. It’s also a masterpiece. Most call him a bust, or a bum, or a loser…. I don’t. I for one hold no grudges or judgments against Jamarcus. As someone who has also lost multiple loved ones tragically in a short period of time. Fell into a deep, dark pit of despair called depression, lost my sense of purpose in life, and in my case, lost 80 lbs in a short period of time and almost died. I’m just glad to know that Jamarcus went through everything that he went through and he is still with us. Not only that, but the best part is that he never lost who he really is. Our lives all start out as blank canvases. I doubt that there has ever been even one person who has ever lived on this planet that could say everything turned out exactly how they wanted it to. Happily ever after doesn’t exist on this planet. We all go through difficult things in this life. No two lives are the same. Yet in the end, no matter what happens, without exception, every life is a masterpiece. Most humans don’t see it that way until they’re gone. A choice few get the privilege of realizing it before we go. We are the lucky ones. Battered, bruised, beaten down and scarred, yet we’re all exactly what we’ve been all along….. Masterpieces. That video you used of Jamarcus in tears. It’s so vulnerable, so honest, so real. It’s a masterpiece. Everyone has their own opinion and we’re all entitled to it. This is mine.

I've been a fan since 1979 when I was 4. The ownership has made me absolutely despise the organization as of late.. I love the players/team but hate the leadership. It sickens me to think how we are going to watch another Carson Palmer play out. There is no way Burrow is thinking long term with this team after seeing what they've done with his group of guys. His line doesn't even offer him a hand when he gets laid out. I honestly hope chase and burrow go somewhere else to succeed. It's sad that I'm even saying it, but I can honestly now see why there are so many steeler fans in Cincy. Now I'm gonna watch their season end tonight against the chargers. (Maybe they will get rid of Zach Taylor) It would be a bonus I guess.
