So true! There was def another agenga once Constantine entered the pic... & in regards to the name Lucifer... Another subject many don't dive into... Did Yeshua/Jesus ever call the enemy Lucifer? It's a Catholic created name: In most modern translations, you will not find that word anywhere, as it has been changed to read morning star, or day star. Some older translations, & older Catholic approved translations, you may find it ONE time in Scripture, in Isaiah 14:12, no where else. In the Hebrew Bible, it's HYLL, which translates as shinning one, or glorious, referring to the planet Venus which you can see bright in the sky right before sunrise, & the nickname that was used for the King of Babylon at the time, because he was deemed important & powerful, shining bright in his Kingdom, but then lost power. The verse, in this context, would be talking about the King who fell from grace. The translators of the Septuagint (Hebrew to Greek), actually translated HYLL to the name for the Greek god Eosphorus, which is the name they used to refer to Venus, there was actually 2 gods representing venus, Eosphorus was the the morning god, & the evening god for venus was Phosphorus. Still, referring to the planet Venus in both translations. The word used for Heaven actually better translates to sky, & the word star doesn't even appear in the translations (depending, translations of the word differ). The word for morning translates closer to "seek early," Strong's H7836. 600 years later, St. Jerome translated the Septuagint to the Latin Vulgate (Greek to Latin). This was the 1st appearance of the word Lucifer, which he didn't construct from the original Hebrew letters HYLL, but instead from the Greek word Phosphorus. By this time, the Greek gods of Venus were combined into one god, Phosphorus, no longer Eosphorus & Phosphorus. Phos (light) is Lux in Latin, phoros (bearing) is Ifer in Latin, combine & you get Luxifer. At the time, X in Greek was an early symbol for Christ, so St. Jerome replaced the X with a C. The name is totally made up & brought to you by the Catholic Church, imagine that... If you want to go even further down the rabbit hole, the Dead Sea Scrolls actually show the word as HYLYL, not HYLL, which means wailing or howling. This word is also found in Zechariah 11:2, referring the sound a tree makes when falling down, which the verse also seems to correlated back to Isaiah 14:12. But that's way too much more to get into on a KZbin comment, I've written enough already. All this is just for those like myself who are actually interested in learning about the History & truths of all religions & their origin. Always remember, as the saying goes, our Lord is not a religion, but a relationship. Religion separates, Yeshua came to unite & enlighten us with truth that "they" have worked hard to keep us from... Hearty greetings Robert, Constantine had been initiated into the mystery school of Sol Invictus, another sun God, merging Mithras with Sol Invictus. I don't think he had much truck with Jesus per say, more so God the Father. This would be related to Constantine establishing himself after victory over Maxentius, who claimed ancestry from the demi-God Hercules. He also gave us Sunday as the day of rest, up to then, the Sabbath was taken on a Saturday by those who would be described as early followers of Christianity. He converted on his death bed, hedging his bets one might say.

When you analyze the 66 books of the US Protestant Bible, you find a pattern concerning the people who had an impact on the doctrine. All of them had were first and foremost worshipers of the God of Abraham. While minor prophets had no miraculous events attributed to them, the major ones did. Moses, for example, brought the hammer down on a world super power 10 times simply at his word. Then just by raising his stick he parted the Red Sea and then brought the hammer down on the Egyptians an 11th time, all before presenting the Mosaic Law Covenant. Jesus healed the sick with but a touch or at his words, he raised the dead with a verbal command, all in conjunction with his teachings. Think of it as flashing a Badge or ID to prove you have the authority. In comparison, Constantine was a Pagan King until his Death Bed. As such he fails even the primary, let alone the secondary proof of ID and authority to back up the changes he triggered to Christendom. He was effectively a fraud. That being said, he was useful to the God of Abraham, much like Some of the Pharaohs, Nebuchadnezzar, and a few other pagan kings mentioned in the Bible. Sort of like a brown paper lunch sack is useful.
