All we need to make an intelligent robot is 1: software to trick humans into thinking it’s human.2: a bone structure with mechanical and stretchy muscles and tendons to match human movement 3: a self constructing and repairing station to improve itself. There needs to be at least one servant robot in every family group to level the playing fields because it’s not about us vs them, no! We just have to be better at human vs human

I say you're both correct. No, we don't have lifelike androids today, BUT we do more or less have all the different components to make something very very close to human level realism. Save maybe the AI system and the skin. Atlas for the body, sophias AI, the skin and anatomically correct details of the sex dolls, etc. If, for some reason all those different companies and technologies were combine together today, then we would aaaaaalmost have something rigth out of westworld, for example. HOWEVER, to really have something that will be indistinguishable from a flesh and blood human will likely take another 10-20 years and even then that's only if those technologies are developed a lot further and still combined together at that point. You both have very valid points: Is it being done? No. Can it be done? absofuckinglutely!

I think its much easier to see them as companions that way , at least for now. I could easily see myself walking around with Atlas from Boston Dynamics as a "friend" or companion with proper AI. Its much cooler and much more pleasant. Otherwise, if we try to hard to make them look like a human we super fast diving into the Uncanney Valley and the regular people wont accept them.

Genes, biochemical reactions etc, they all combine to make us conscious.), how can we duplicate something we don't know how it works?

They say it'll take decades, but with how advanced ai has become as well as robotics in just 10 years, where what we have now was supposed to take another 50 years back in 2010 shows that we've hit an age where every month, we're advancing 1-5 years in just what we're capable of. Hell, back in 2012, call centers were a huge job, but now, we're seeing programs that not only sound real (to where you won't even know you're talking to a computer), but can hold up a conversation with you and deal with every problem. Cooking robots do actually exist, just not the way they look here as it's more like a few arms similar to what we see building cars where the device is able to upload an entire recipe, take every ingredient and use it, cut up all the proper pieces, cook it, and serve it. We also have robots who can do a lot of the menial tasks. So honestly, in 10 years, we may have reached a point where the robots are no longer this way but actually look like real humans and think like humans, to where in 20 years, they'll become a household necessity.

Company owners don't want to pay salaries, we humans have many disadvantages as employees.

Wouldn't producing A.I androids make human workforce obsolete? A lot of jobs would be eradicated since machines can do it better than us. It wouldn't only be the physical jobs like construction and housecleaning that would be automated, but also theoretical subjects like physics, engineering, accounting, etc. Pretty much the only jobs that shouldn't be made by robots is governing positions, like politicians and military strategists (even the latter would probably be advised by A.I's); probably the arts too, but that depends on how far A.I will grow. Most "automated" countries would probably become Kommunist states too, since none would have a salary to buy things with. We're either looking at a Gray dystopia were people are consumers, heard like cattle by the people in charge, distracting them from what's important. Or a Utopia, a golden age were all of humanity, in their boredom, would be free to develop in the areas of art, philosophy, science, social issues, and the wounded human spirit. Huh, guess we'll juat have to see if the good or bad in humanity will be victorious.

Theoretically, could you program a super intelligent AI to be smart enough to aid in the creation of a body for its new found mind?
@rexxbare92552 жыл бұрын
Not theoretically, it’s happening but will be portrayed as a happy accident. Look into ai designed 3D prints, and think about the fact that it can print in many kinds of plastic and even metals now. It won’t just aid in the creation, it will be able to build parts of itself on repeat, and if it all links back to 1 ai each body is just that, a part of itself.

Close-captioning understands the East-Indian man's 'English' perfectly but with many American's English, it mis-translates & uses the n-word a lot. Google hiring racist programmer kids to do this mess?! Smh...
