Zhonyas makes sense to me. Gives him more tankiness and burst, and after he pops his E if he’s ever in danger he can use Zhonyas to buy time for his E to come back up again or even ward hop out. It’s genius actually.

I think you can go for AP if your team lacks AP damage. Other than that there's no reason to build full AP. What surprises me is that people don't build hybrid builds (which used to be really good on Jax back in the day). You know something like Sunderer + Nashors.

footwork is pretty much the coolest part of league's micro gameplay (which is why sweetspot champs have the best designs imo), so the man would be respectable if jax wasn't such a boring stat-checker of a champ. though that lies more so with how his e works than anything. unconditional immunity is just bad design, if it decreased damage or had a drawback like pantheon's directional block, jax would be infinitely less degenerate

Counters: Gragas, Malphite, Illaoi, Garen, Urgot I prefer Tf blade as he is noticeably better on Jax Also the build is extremely situational and building wrong could make you useless for the rest of the game.Sunderer is best first item rn, but usually if they have at least 1 ap wits end is better than bork, cleaver 3rd is best damage and tankiness and cdr source for team fighting and tank shredding then dd or maw into zhonyas/ga

​@@acenia1342 Illaoi is definitely unplayable in high elo you have a brief window of 3 levels to get an advantage and an entire game of farming under tower and you cant even outscale with even items as she is simply stronger. As to prove my point further 4 days ago TF blade did a race to challenger and during his 86 games he faced an illaoi in D1 and went 2/12. If rank1 losing lane so hard to a d1 isn't enough proof then idk what is. Stevens, rangerzx, hushen they all hate Illaoi.
