Wow, didn't know about this company. Loved the idea of the Camara. Now they need to work on the smell.

Glad you learned something new here. The smell will be probably a much more complicated feature to get right 😅

Wow I want 1. Is it 110v or 220v? How many watts? How much does it cost?
@EuropeanCoffeeTrip

Cheers! Both versions exist - take a look at www.roestcoffee.com (a little warning - it’s a professional roaster so it’s not cheap 😅)

A beautiful machine, but you can get similar results at tiny fraction of its price - like less than 1% of its $ 7,200 price.

Indeed, is one of the most overpriced piece of gear in this industry, where judgment is dominated by influencers that have no clues how to evaluate the true value, and having no guts to say stop to these insane prices.

Interesting. Do you really think that purchases in this price range are motivated by “influencers”? I am not sure about it. Our goal with this video was to show #behindthescene: the story of the company and how machines are designed, built and tested in their facility in Oslo.

Thanks for the comment! So you say we can get similar roasting experience & quality results for less than $72? Tell us more about it.
@renatoa

He means probably the $79 Sweet Maria popper. Not exactly 1/100 of the Roest price, but granted someone who master it can get results too close to make the Roest price more than questionable.

@@renatoa you are missing the point, just like LA Bloke. With Roest you can roast thousands and thousand of roast without nothing else but cleaning. It can be used to do 60-100 batches a day, roast after roast. With air roasters like sweet maria popper or kaffe logic you cant do that. Plus you get a lot of data/information stored, in an online library, you can make profiles on whatever you want, have direct input on the roest, compare graphs. You do not have any of those with what you suggested. This machine was targeted for coffee buying/roasting/sampling, so for businesses. You get that if the video when they say it was made for 100g batches. When you get samples from the farms or sellers you get them in 100g most of the time. So this roaster was made for businesses to buy it and source coffee, not for billy joe roasting in a pan at home. The roasted became better and better and some people started using it at home to roast coffee for themselves, high grade expensive coffee roasted light. Because of this the popularity increased in the last years and you see it more and more into a flat/or house. It's small, it's fast it doesnt need gas, works on both 110 or 220v and it's easy to use. So if you dont have anything else to say about it then dont say it, if you dont like the price you simply dont buy it.

If it took you 3 years , it will only take few months to fail. When obsession and emotions rule, the business model fails.
