@@SsoulifyZ dude I still don't know if it's even in any reading. I'm tempted to say it's in 6/8 with a change in tempo

For context. This guys conducting is completely wrong. He’s just waving it up and down which is not what conducting is. He’s in a whole other world and thankfully the orchestra is extremely good.

Hiii I have a genuine question and I really want to know the answer of it...... Can you play piano and practice basketball at the same time??? Or it hurts your piano career...??
@zeldaweeb17386 ай бұрын
You’ll excel more if you work on one or the other but it’s definitely possible to work on both! Sounds like you want to have a career as a pianist, if you plan to go to college for it then work towards getting into an orchestra or two asap if you can follow an orchestra well enough yet. The more experiences, the more preferable you’ll be to colleges that focus on that career path.

Main jobs: 1. queue the music to start, so everyone starts at the same time 2. keep time. By waving the baton up and down, at least the guy kept an alright tempo.? But what they also are supposed do: Differentiate between different beats. Beats 1, 2 ,3 ,4 are all supposed to look different. Because when we have a piece with a couple hundred beats, we don't want to skip one and be out of sync for the rest of the piece. Queue different parts to play: E..g you'll see them look to the brass section and beat exactly when they're supposed to play their note Control fermatas and pauses: music isn't EXACTLY on time. You can stretch it. The conductor stretches the music to create drama and feeling. They do this by varying the tempo of their beats Dynamics: usually with their empty hand, they direct us to play louder or softer. They can actually use their whole body (face included) to kind of portray the emotions or "colours" or "flavours" we're supposed to play with. Idk how to describe it but when you're sitting there and make eye contact with the conductor you just know what's expected of you. They absolutely control the WAY the music is played, even though they don't control which notes we play
