Sounds like you need to ensure that the bank has your children's blood AND that they aren't selling the stem cells.

thank you for shedding light on this. I remember having my first baby, receiving these pamphlets, and being skeptical. there were testimonials on the pamphlets from doctors who said they purchased this for their all grandchildren, but I found few examples of these cord blood promises actually coming to fruition. it does seem unethical to be preying on women who have new mom hormones pumping through them.

assuming your banked cord blood sample can be used, is there any advantage to using it over other stem cells harvested by a different method? Is it a better option that isn't often available or is it basically the same as the alternative?

So I'm still unclear on what your investigation found. Is this whole cord blood thing a hoax? I've been paying to have my kids' cord blood stored for over a decade. Is there any good in doing that?

Cord blood is good for use IF there is no bacteria and if there is enough stem cells to be used. The problem is that these companies don’t tell their clients about the cord blood’s conditions on stem cell availability and bacteria overgrowth. Since new stem cell research is replacing cord blood, these companies are hesitant in informing their clients about their cord blood’s condition so they can profit off the storage fees.
