Apparently none of you defending him are aware that he was on trial in 2005 for doing this (look it up). But he was BILL COSBY and the woman was just a no-name that everyone ignored. As a black man born in 1960, I grew up watching him on TV and in movies and listening to his comedy albums. I also admired his stance on the importance of education. But I was also aware of how much time this "family man" spent at the playboy mansion and hosting the Playboy Jazz Festival. There are multiple pictures of him with Hugh Hefner. This many women don't just accuse a man in his seventies of this for grins and giggles. And calling it a black thing is one of the weakest excuses we use at times instead of just looking at the person. I believe Bill Cosby, Donald Trump, Harvey Weinstein, Bill Clinton, Matt Lauer, and Kevin Spacey (just to nma a few) are all guilty. I hate that Trump supporters brush his accusations under the rug, and would love to see him in prison someday for any of him numerous crimes. But I also believe the Bill Clinton supporters acted the same way when all those women accused him of sexual assault as well. Powerful men have been getting away with it for years because as Trump said you just grab them by the p***y or just kiss them without asking and usually they are too shocked to do anything or no one will believe them as the comments below demonstrate.
@G.L.9992 жыл бұрын
I know this comment is over 2 years old, but all I can say is that maybe back then, alot of people more than likely didn't want to believe those stories about him because of how much he impacted people when they were younger back then; what with Fat Albert, The Cosby Show, Little Bill(a show I grew up watching as a child. And honestly as a white guy born 1990, I personally prefered shows that centered around African American families than a white American family; as I just felt shows like Fresh Prince, Family Matters, he Cosby Show, Little Bill, Cousin Skeeter, and many more were more to my heart. And I was personally one of those guys who didn't want to believe those allegations against Cosby either because he had such a profound effect on me growing up. I guess now all I can really do is just try to remember the positive messages his characters on tv(albeit his real life character or cartoon character) and try to maybe consider the good still left in me of the memories I cherished about his content growing up.

Why wouldn't these women come clean sooner? Because of several reasons. Bill was in a position of power for many of these women who wanted to get a head at the time. They didn't want to tarnish the reputation in the celebrity world and have it potentially backfire on them and jeopardize their career. Most of the women were in the entertainment world and it is a very competitive cut throat atmosphere to survive in on its own without being abused on this level. Could you imagine how humiliating it is just to be raped? And having to go to the hospital and expose yourself and be inspected? Then add the press and conflict alongside with it? It takes incredible strength and tolerance of negative feedback to have the courage to expose yourself to a man the world loved as a golden comedy genius on television.
@nattya94679 жыл бұрын
Natalie Brunner Also, Bill Cosby is an ACTOR. He knows how to take himself OUT of his own thought process and project someone else. Acting is being a chameleon of sorts. He was ACTING in DEFENSE to his own CHARACTER when he was telling other colored men to not rape females. This was an act based on GUILT AND DEFENSE. To COVER UP what he knew was becoming exposed. I don't hate Bill, I don't think the women are all victims either. Like some of you said they could have come out sooner, they could have left but they went back to him - But in all aspects, the truth has come out... not even bill Cosby is innocent. Humanity has a dark side.
@tabletalk339 жыл бұрын
Natalie Brunner Boo hoo, BS. Is the accused to be condemned based on mere gossip and speculation? Just like that? No due process? Do you judge an accused based on the mere number of accusers? Don't you think the number of accusers is suspicious? I don't buy it. I think Coz is getting railroaded.
@nattya94679 жыл бұрын
I am not judging him in the sense of a person. I am judging him in the sense of the evidence and patterns of behavior. It doesn't seem far fetched for a man of power to take advantage of women. It's quite common. It's also common for a woman who desires to have power to give what little they have to get a leg up, or two for that matter. It's not about whats right or wrong or judgement. It's about the psychology of it all. I'm not trying judge, like i said I don't hate "Coz" but to say that he is being railroaded by complete lies is absurd. Why would these women just want to expose themselves to the public like this just for attention? They were SOBBING and AFRAID to even confess that it did - I'm not saying Cosby is a rotten man but I will give my empathy where I see it fits and it's with both parties because the whole thing is sad. Janice "Dick"inson on the other hand, may have been the one to desire some attention but who is to say he's guilty or innocent - not I but I def. won't hold back on the fact that there are way to many fingers pointing his way for it just to be leading from a railroad of nowhere.
@johanliebert10276 жыл бұрын
That sometimes is true but for many of the women in this case, it's just bullshit. They obviously jumped onto a bandwagon of victimhood. This happens a lot. Qui Francis the Bill Cosby scandal has NOTHING to do with, or anything in common with the greedy ppl who were accusing Michael Jackson of being a pedophile! Michael wasn't insinuating it was ok to "sleep with" children, meaning have sex with children. That has been proven time and time again. Back when Michael was growing up, he and his brothers all shared a single bedroom, with only 1 set of bunk bed's. Back then big families all used to have multiple siblings sleeping in the same bed. Had absolutely nothing to do with race or sex. It was just common because they parents couldn't afford mansions; they worked, put food on the table and taught respect and morals back then. It's a shame today's society doesn't even spank children for doing something wrong for fear of being charged with child abuse. I'm definitely not supporting actual children abuse but I've seen some spoiled, bratty kids who could definitely use a trip to the woodshed! Would probably cut back on some of the corrupt and disrespectful things young people do today!

He seems to be guilty, but a lot of celebrities are falsely accused of rape and assault. For example, the woman who claimed Morgan Freeman had assaulted her/ made sexual remarks about the accuser, and then the actual footage showed a completely different scenario

I'm no expert, but one clear tale-tale sign of when someone is lying is the non stop blinking when they're speaking. I'm not taking sides or anything. I do find it odd that NOW alot of women are coming out accusing him of this, but look at all of the accusing women's eyes and try to count how many times they blink when they're speaking.

I question if these women speak truthfully. I just don't know. Whether or not they are telling the truth, the important thing to remember here is, ladies, if you're sexually mistreated, and if you think there is even the very least chance you'll be unable to live the rest of your life in peace with what happened, then IMMEDIATELY press charges. Do not wait.

@ashleymilburn27739 жыл бұрын
If you were a rape victim yourself, you would understand how hard it is to speak up about it. Rape victims feel guilt, embarrassment and shame about what happened to them. And it's sometimes easier just to shut up about it and move on, and that's exactly what a rapist wants you to do. So don't judge these women until you've been in a situation where you're that powerless and have someone force themselves on you.

Imagine you are drugged. And then you wake not knowing what all had happened. Surely you would know just by listening to how you feel and how your body aches and where you woke up and your last memory before being drugged that you are sexually assaulted. Imagine, waking up and how your body feels..... He abused his position and power. I believe that he has knowledge of certain DRUGS with the INTENT of what he can use it for. I believe he has done this to more women. I believe not all people that drugged will wake up and have the slightest recollection of what happened. So there is probably more he has done this to. Lastly, I believe the 30 year sentence is not enough. Because the impact of what he has done DOES NOT justify his wrongdoings. He will not bear the full impact of his sentence because he will probably not be alive in the next 30 years. If he was just an ordinary citizen, will the verdict be 30 years???? Justice has to be equal for everyone. His prison should be the same as everybody else's. There are MORE like him in all walks of life, that is in POSITION OF POWER. It doesn't have to be just in hollywood. Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, Jimmy Savile, Barry Bennell. There's more out there!! Probably some of them are people/personalities that you love in TV. Our weapon...... Speak out. Loud. Speak to everyone. Don't keep it to yourself. Be heard. Be fearless. You are protecting other vulnerable victims.

@SarahS-kt5rj6 жыл бұрын
Piddle Hide I never even thought about how they got there. I just assumed they arrived on their own sober mind. You're right, they may of been drugged before they even showed up. Good point.
@eggybread49376 жыл бұрын
Sarah S you could be in any room not just hotel room. Someone, somebody, or anyone may offer you a drink. Innocently you take it because you didn't feel any threat at that time. Next thing you remember your lying, weak, can't remember much what happened, bruised, naked etc etc etc. Not really knowing 100 percent what had happened. And other people insisted why you didn't go forward straight away??? When you can't even comprehend or be able to explain exactly what happened to you. You will struggle with the confidence to even bring up the subject to anyone. Just open your mind more. I've never been drugged so I can't tell you exactly what's that suppose to feel like.... Let alone tricked, mislead, drugged and sexually abused. Our words today in social media have effects to millions of readers around the world. Bill Cosby was found guilty. So it means the court, has some basis that he has drugged people. Nobody should drug people unless it's for medical use and administered by professionals. Even medical professionals that has underlying mental issues could abuse their power too. To ignore accusations means that you are letting real abusers NORMALISE their actions. Like it's normal behaviour to drug people.

im probably late to say this. But watching this you can tell it was a setup. If you understand human thinking you would understand getting a mass public to randomly meme a celeb, most likely they're going to go to most recent memories. An upcoming comic makes a joke about another known one which gets people to question his character? Even weeks to months later when social media, used by many asks you to get memory of said celeb? Why choose bill of all people?

This whole thing was well choreographed. First, Andrea Constand said that Bill Cosby sexually assaulted her in Philadelphia in 2004 but didn't report until a year later. Second, an unknown comedian name Hannibal Buresss criticizes Bill Cosby about the rape accusations in a nightclub, mind you, also in Philadelphia where "someone" mysteriously recorded the show and immediately went viral, just in time before the statue of limitations ran out. Impeccable timing, if you ask me. And third, Kevin Steele, coincidentally, was running for district attorney for Pennsylvania and promised to prosecute Bill Cosby if he won. Very strange that all three "happened" not only in the same time period but the same place.
@FroggyBB4 жыл бұрын
Yup we've got a conspiracy theorist here. It wasn't choreographed. Most victims already spoke out years ago and there were articles on it but because of his status he felt invincible. God bless for the internet.
