The manga you've read was probably the first part of the series, which is about Mao and Hisashi's story. The author later did a second part which is a spin off dedicated to the second couple, then released a sequel to Mao and Hisashi's story, then later released another spin off dedicated to the third couple and it takes place after the events of Mao and Hisashi's sequel so it's all connected. The author just recently announced that the second couple would get a sequel to their story so that's the fifth part of the series. We'll mostly likey as well get a sequel for the third couple so in total, it will be a six part series which is honestly so cool to see cause you will overall get a cohesive storyline for all of the characters. I believe that the anime will cover all three couple's so it's going to be really exciting to see their stories animated🤍

I remember seeing news about this anime adaptation on Twitter, and going "Oh wow, this is JUST Banana Fish all over again lol" because of the Dark hair/blonde hair combo and the moody lighting of the shots they used. Edit: 12:04 And now I hear Ash's VA voiced Hisashi??? 😭😭

For the voices of Mao and Hisashi we've basically got Muta and Fushiguro from Jujutsu Kaisen or Hirano and Hanzawa from Sasaki to Miyano 🥰 But yes they really are just giving us those Banana Fish feels by casting Uchida to voice Hisashi 😭

Hisashi's va is also Sakura from wind breaker, and Uenoyama from Given, and then Mao's voice is Mechamaru from jjk and Inosuke from demon slayer.... And yea out of focus has a volume of the main couple, then a second volume of the second couple, then the third volume of the main couple, also a one shot of the main couple, and then the fourth volume of the third couple, all really good tbh

I remember reading the manga years before and wished they wou'd cast Uchida Yuma for the Hisashi's voice just because he reminds me so much of Ash Lynx. And when they finally announced it, I was just so happyyyyy. And it's like Bananafish universe, the story we could've gotten than having pure depression 😂

@@footlong7980 not a Yaoi but Shounen Ai is Tadaima Okaeri. I think when OP means YAOI they mean explicit stuff going on because dayum the steamy parts are steamy. I dunno if they gonna censor it or nah but yeh when they say YAOI it's smutty

@@footlong7980to me personally I don’t distinguish yaoi from bl. Yaoi is apart of bl but it’s like the r 18 side of bl while shouen ai is the non smut part of it. Both yaoi and shouen ai are like sub genres of bl just like yuri(r 18) and shoujo ai (no smut) for gl.
