That story brought a tear to my eye. My grandfather gave me his 1986 F-150 in 2000. I drove it for years. Then around 2003 I started transforming it into a hot rod. In 2010 I was going through a rough time and the truck sat in my driveway. I used to crank it up once a week. Anyway the last time I fired it up, water had gone into the cowl induction and saturated the air filters. I guess enough went into a cylinder that when it fired, it immediately broke a rod. I ended up trading it to my neighbor for his pressure washing services. I just needed it gone because I didn’t have the time or money to fix it. My grandfather passed away in 2014. I regret giving that old truck away and think about it all the time. Anyway, thanks for sharing your story!

Should of asked if he would sell it with no motor and tranny? Thats where the big money is. Then find a old 283 and trans combo cheap and your son could maybe have drove that same car. Just a wild thought. loved the video!

I doubt he would have done that , but that would be pretty cool.

I looked for my ‘64 BelAir in the pasture where I parked it after wrecking it, but it was gone:-/

Kevin, we took the 350 out of our 1973 Impala and dropped in it my ‘64!
