Lee are one of those guys who go to the mall and the wife sets you down on a bench so you can collect all her baggage? About 15 years ago there were 3 old men sitting on a bench, waiting for the wives. I coaxed them into the bar in the mall and bought them drinks. We came out half in the bag and the women were not happy, but we had a chance to talk smart while in the bar. It was fun!🤣

LOL... showing the love for the old floor mat with the excavator. Figures the first Monday off today and it looks like rain all day. I have been laid off for a while now. so, a bit in the same boat. More time for projects. I have found not only do I benefit but my friends, neighbors and family benefit from my free time. The key word there is it's all still free time. haha $$ Your landscaping idea for the bank sounds good. It will probably require a little maintenance to make sure no weeds start and you have to make sure to blow the grass away from it. Neighbors did that with their new home and it looks good. They must have spent a fortune on it. build mounds just for it and had huge rocks shipped in.

Mike, this video was fantastic! Just so you know, I let the ads play all the way because I know that helps your channel. Floor mats scene was funny as heck! You know, I actually thought you'd pick up a bale of straw and shake it out w the excavator. You certainly are a smooth operator! You could have done that! Your front yard is shaping up nicely, yes, oh yes I like the idea of you using your big rocks there at the corner. You have the talent to make that look better than a retaining wall. Heck yeah! I've been retired since May 15, 2018. I will never get employed again. I get a check from Social security, that I paid in over 48 years, and a check from my invested retirement monies come into my checking account every month. It's enough. Everything I have is paid for, only debt I incur is on my credit cards, but I pay those off every month or two months. My credit score is 820. It's the best feeling ever, to be free. I am so very happy you retired too. Now I get to see more of you! This video was 21 minutes, awesome! I absolutely enjoyed every single minute. 45 minutes would be great for me, but I am just so happy w whatever you share Mr. Mike Morgan! Truly one of the very best channels on KZbin! Actually my #1 favorite! Thank's Mike.👍🚜❤

I use to tell my friends when asked, “Whats your plans for next week”, my response would always be, “anything I want too”. Truth is, I couldn’t believe I was getting paid from the company of thirty-three years to stay home...lol.. Good morning! Had to laugh at the excavator abusing the floor mat. If you’d run that in time lapse, it would have looked like some dinosaur terrier with a rat. Funny stuff! Concur with the local boulders - a little ingenuity and you’ll have a really cool entrance. And now that Monday is here, has it sunk in? I was commenting with my wife - psychologists say big life decisions really need to be spaced out in time so we can adjust, but we all stack them, like graduate, wedding, move, etc in our case. You all are really stacking new stuff - building, pool, grandkid #2, wedding, new driver, and now new job (and boss!). You’ll be fine but it may take a little while to adapt to the new circumstances. Definitely an exciting time for you and the crowd.

In your case, something doesn't seem right? In the last year, we have seen you folks layout a tun of money (ei) wedding, building, tractor/with accessories, excavator, new truck buying wood, dump trailer, sawmill, and more. I know KZbin pays well but with only 215 subscribers that's a mity big stretch not that 215 subscribers is not a small amount but wow that's a big nut to carry Anyone can see the concern you have on your face Mike it's very easy to see. Mike, #1 this is going to be fun for all of us - more content, better content and more artsy shooting and editing - woo hoo! #2 I know that you can afford both a planer and a joiner but I think the joiner is a waste of space for most wood shops. Invest in a 13 inch Dewalt (or the like) and learn how to join on a planer by placing scraps of wood underneath your board to get a good flat plane on one side and then flip it over on the planer. There are tons of "how to" videos on youtube to show you how to do it! Any one disagree? #3 what you also need is a shop quality table saw. I can see quite the wood shop developing in that new building!

Congratulations Mike! So happy for you and your family. You didn't get into this position by sitting around so good on you. Enjoy it. You've earned it!

I like the boulder idea and a more casual look......if there are smaller gaps you could put ground cover......blue rug juniper, no maintenance maybe some recessed flower pots to change out summer plants, with fall chrysanthemums then greens and holly for winter...love watching you run equipment.....it's a symphony when you are as smooth as you are....

Yep on the boulder rock garden, if you don't have some extra around somewhere in those woods I would be surprised. Maybe some plants and shrubs would make it"perfect", and some flat stuff short cut steps to the mailbox. Blessings Mike.

Yes! A wall is a lot of work. Grading the slope, then putting down a layer of small stone (or fabric), then the big rock will look great. I used mixed size river stone. Over time, stuff will start growing & you'll have to spray or torch it.

That boulder idea sounds really good instead of a retaining wall. I can see it with a nice flagpole and a bench or two. You both do very good work. Blessing on you and your family and friends and any livestock you might have wandering around the house and yard!

Greetings from Central NH Lakes Region - I vote for the sand rock & mulch idea versus the retaining wall for both creating nice look and stabilizing that slope at the same time. I would suggest laying down some of your geo-cloth along the slope before placing in the stones, gravel & mulch topping. Good luck in retirement. Remember it is probably a big change in lifestyle for Melissa than you realize!!

I love the rocks idea-I think pea gravel over mulch since the mulch needs updating every year or so! Blessings

Another awesome video, Mike! You know most people have to wait until 65 to recover some SS monies, and then aren’t able to enjoy retirement, but you got a 10 year cushion, so enjoy it like I know you will. Been trying to get the pool open for this 90s weather, but next week it’ll be back in low 80s; can’t win, 🤠. Have another day and God Bless y’all. ❤️💙💚💜

Again....Congrats Mike. FYI....It'll take more than 'a week' but clocks and calendars WILL go away. As long as you stay busy/active, 'Retirement' IS 'da bomb'. Like yourself, MY 'side hussles' were making me as much as my 'day job'. I quit and have never regretted it. Best of success and God Bless M&M....~Eli.

I like the boulders. We used to do some high end landscaping that way. You can plant ground cover around it.

Use the big rocks. It will look a lot more eye pleasing versus a standard old concrete wall. Knowing the kind of work you do it will look wonderful.

Mike, I am blessed enough to be in the 26th year of retirement from a 25 YEAR LAW ENFORCEMENT CAREER!! The last 6 or so I haven't had another REAL JOB either, but instead set the next daily goal when I go to bed the night before... AND IF I REMEMBER IT, when I awake, I do what I WANT and what that goal is... MOSTLY I pay attention to my loving wife, and what WE can accomplish or experience TOGETHER. Best of luck to you, Melissa, and the family. And, thanks as always for the enjoyable video content...

Of course you may put boulders in the slope and that will be also a nice entrance flowerbed, Mike! Only thing is that you may remember it when you are pushing snow so you don't have a huge pile there in spring. ;D.

Sounds like a good idea, saving money n using natural is a good way to go. It would look really nice with big retaining wall block n a couple of walls in layers with ur mulch n plants but the other way will be just as good. Thanks for the vids, love coming home from work n watching what ya getting done
