Guys. If your best friend or friend who is the same gender as you and confesses that they have feelings for you and you react like what this chick in the vid ^. It is telling them that same-sex attraction is "abnormal" which it is not, whilst reacting in disgust towards her inner feelings. Which is by the way, just very disrespectful, dumb, damaging, and very ignorant. So with that here are a list of healthier choices and notes to keep in mind and say instead to turn down a friend's feelings WITHOUT hurting them: Notes: 1. Do not say "eww" or communicate any disgust towards them. Understand that they have felt like that in probably for a really long time and it took a lot of courage for them to say that. 2. Communicating disgust would indicate that you find them abnormal or weird. The thing is, it is natural for people to have attraction to the same gender but it is uncommon, just like being left-handed. Also they probably got more testosterone or female hormones when in the woumb so yeah. Either way it is not worst that the other. You both have been great friends for a while and that is the reason why they like you. Imagine being told "eww" or "stop joking me" when you confess your feelings to a friend you enjoy hanging out with who if the opposite sex as you. If you are a aro/ace and probably dont know, it will feel very s h i t. And you feel like your feelings are unimportantly small. 3. Acknowledge their feelings. Make them feel seen. Using phrases around like "Thank you for telling me, it must have been scary hiding it" then following it with how you feel towards them in a nice way. "You are a nice person, you really are! I just wish we both stay as great friends". Is a better way of rejecting a same sex person instead of replying with "EwW" Now for the last part. Here are a bunch of phrases I collected to say instead of "EWw": - I'm sorry (name), but I love/like you as a pal - heh? Are you joking? (They reply that they arent). Hey (name) you are a really great admirable and respectable person in my life, I just do not feel the same way. -(name), my mate, you deserve someone else who feels the same way. Hope we can still be friends. I will still help and support you as an ally. As a panromantic dude. If I got rejected like that I would probably become depressed like most people would so to not accidentally make other people feel crap. I suggest thinking before what you say

Let me tell you a story of my confession? kinda.. I guess..? I just need to rant lol A transferee to a public school here (a huge introvert), A group came up to me and I became friends with them. At first, there was this one girl who mostly took the effort to talk to me and get close to me, She tease me just enough to make me laugh and get comfortable with them. Our names are kinda similar and they both start with J (Both of our parent's name also starts with J.. kinda weird coincidence huh?). She told me she has a crush on me, We are in the same friend group so people tease her about me. I didn't say anything cause what is there to like about me? When our teacher would tease guys on me she reacts so everyone in the class knew she likes me, Even some of our subject teachers and other students from outside class. People think I'm straight just because I'm kinda timid, I look girly so they didn't really believe me when I said I'm pansexual. A guy confessed to me and everyone there knows he likes me... But I don't. She was even told by the guy to take a picture of us, I didn't mind because I was once told by my mom that if someone like me, treat them nicely cause I should be glad about it. She put herself in most of the pictures and scold the guy for being close lol Anyways, She told me she liked me since the very first day of class. I do too but I didn't tell her, A dear friend of mine likes her..(she's in our friend group) And I don't want to ruin my friendship with the girl1 so I just laughed at her. When I found out she likes me I started giving her hugs (jokingly) every time it was time to go home, so we have daily hugs which of course could be seen by literally anyone in front of school gates, cause that is where we mostly hug to separate going home. We have an assignment which needs for us to take a picture and stick it on the module, I have three extra and gave the other away to my friends, She didn't get one and kinda get sulky so one of our friends gave the picture to her instead. She then put it inside her phone case which is transparent so... Many people saw it, Including her parents We had graduation and she gave me a plastic sunflower (head only) from the stage, I kept it cause I'm a very sentimental person. She scold me (kinda) cause I went home early, telling me that she wanted to buy me real flowers School finished so it was a break and that is the time when we started talking to each other through socials, Awkward at first but started getting comfortable with each other. And well kind of confessed to each other (I have the guts to cause the girl who likes her started dating someone) I joined something in school (a practice about something) with the girl I have a crush on and our two other friends in our friend group, Everyone there too knows she likes me and I think it's so sweet how she told (more like showed) everyone there. I guess you could say she told one of our friends about us confessing to each other and I don't really mind, they already ship us Still gave her daily hugs every time I either arrive or go home, kinda kith with a mask on cause she likes physical touch I guess.. One of our friends (the one who didn't know we already confessed) pushed our faces together when she kissed me (with a mask on ofc), I felt her lips... I was shocked but I didn't mind. She introduced me to mostly anyone and that's so sweet, to her cousin, friends, parents and many more. Well My friends and cousin already knew about her too (I didn't tell her) I left in the middle of joining the practice cause I'm moving school (My parents made me, saying the private school would give me better education for the course I'm choosing), She's handsome and many confess to her too. I'm still friends with them and I'm kind of thinking if I should let her go? I bet they will forget about me later on. I can't like her after all, I bet my parents won't agree. And I think I'm still not at the right age to like someone like her.. she's amazing and I am not worthy of her :(( :: Just in case if she actually does read this.
