There is a point to be made that most rappers are coming from an impoverished environment. They come from the hood where things are different. You don't get cancelled for saying shit that's politically wrong. You're not exposed to mainstream culture the same way. You live your whole life in this underground fringe existence. You're separate from normal society. Your experience and upbringing are extremely different. Being politically correct isn't relevant in the hood. It's about survival in a hostile environment. So when you take these people and put them in the public light for judgment you shouldn't be surprised if they don't handle it as well as a normal celebrity. Doesn't excuse everything but it's something we need to consider sometimes. These people aren't your usual Hollywood celebs. They're gangstas and dealers from a cutthroat environment. Of course they're not all pc. They don't understand the mainstream world because they haven't lived in it yet. They're used to being around and speaking to people like them. To them watching your mouth is about being respectful to the people who have some kind of power over you. Other more connected gang members and ops and dealers. It's not about being PC it's about being street smart. The two are not interchangable. You shouldn't be that surprised that some good raised gangster isn't the most PC person out there. Being politically correct isn't a problem they've ever faced before. Their problems were putting food on the table, staying out of prison and dealing with ops killing each other all the time. It's the closest environment to prison rules there is in the free world.
